OUT OF CLASS/CORRIDOR PASSES – Mrs Kerek’s Caseload S2- 6
All pupils on Mrs Kerek’s caseload who had passes last year should see here to discuss having these renewed as this is not automatic. If you have an out of date pass that you still need or have lost a pass please see her on Friday or Monday in the Adam Smith Base at break or lunchtime so that all necessary new passes can be made up.
S5/6 – School College Partnership Courses – Mr Fulton
All pupils who have a college course on their timetables on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons should receive an email from Fife College explaining where and when you have to go on Tuesday afternoon. Please check your emails to make sure that you are aware of these details. You are required to attend either the Glenrothes or Kirkcaldy campus reception (depending on your chosen course) at 1:50pm where staff from the SCP team will meet you. If you are unsure, come and speak to me BEFORE TUESDAY!
S2 Dance Auditions (Mrs Johnston)
A reminder the S2 School of Dance auditions are Tuesday & Wednesday at lunch time this week. Please head to the dance studio as soon as you have grabbed your lunch.
Lower string lessons – cello/double bass and bass guitar. (Mrs Simpson)
As of this week, lessons are moving from a Tuesday to a Thursday and will take placed in E11 – just along from Mrs Duckett’s room. String group will also start on this day after school in the Music Dept. Check the board or Teams for your lesson time and start practising!
Japanese Club Meeting (Mrs Morris)
All existing club members and any pupils interested in learning Japanese, writing to Japanese pupils, learning about Japanese Culture and customs please come along to C9 on Thursday 28th August at lunch time (bring your lunch, or join us after lunch). You MUST come and see Mrs Morris in C9 for a pass on Mon/Tues/Wed if you plan to come to this meeting.
Culture Month (Mrs Gibb)

Rights Ambassadors and House Captains (Miss Young)
Thank to everyone in S1 and S6 who signed up to be House Captain or Rights Respecting Schools Ambassadors.
House Captains for S6 have now been chosen – they will be contacting and S1 who signed up for this at some point this week or next and will also be looking to recruit S3 House Captains.
Rights Ambassadors – out currently pupil group also plan to contact the S1 and S6 pupils next week who signed up for this so look out for bulletin messages or updates in the year group team.
If you want to be a House Captain (s1 or S3 ) or Rights Respecting Schools Ambassador but have not yet signed up please see Miss Young in B14 before the end of the week.
Treblemakers Choir (Mr Wilkie)
Do you love singing? Do you love performing? Warmup your vocal cords as ‘The Treblemakers Choir’ is just for you. Come and join Mrs Simpson and Mr Wilkie in the Music department on Wednesday’s afterschool in room E13. All are welcome.

Fitzgerald Trust Award 2025/26 (School Office)

Definition: Something described as convoluted is very complicated and difficult to understand, or has many curves and turns.
Example: The speaker’s argument was so convoluted that most of the audience had trouble determining whether they were for or against the new policy.
