THURSDAY 26 JUNE

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Scottish Breaded Haddock or Fish Fingers with Chips or Roast Chicken in Gravy, Mashed Potatoes with Yorkshire Pudding. Chicken Fries at breaktime.

House Competition (Mr Spink)
Congratulations to Oswald House for winning this year’s House Cup!! As mentioned previously, those in Oswald have been placed into Gold, Silver and Bronze – based on your achievements throughout the year (including having Greens in your Tracking Reports and being awarded Stars).

Gold have a selection of all three Events; Silver can choose between Silver and Bronze level; Bronze will not have a choice.Those with Gold should have been notified already and chosen the activity they wish to attend! If you have chosen the trip out of school, you must see Mr Spink ASAP to collect a consent form!

Silver will have had a message home, too, so please make sure you respond ASAP to indicate which event you would like to attend.

While Bronze does not have a choice, you will still be sent a message to indicate your level.
Please note – if you do not respond within the deadline, you will be placed into an Event where there is space.

S5/S6 – School College Partnership Courses (Mr Fulton)
All pupils who participate in School College Partnership courses on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons should already be aware that these have now finished for the summer and will restart on Tuesday 26 August. There is no need to attend college this week or next.

S6 House Captain Applications (Mr Sanderson)
The KHS House Leaders are looking for enthusiastic individuals to lead their House for 2025-26. Interested individuals must be S6 and submit their application via the QR code by 3:25pm on Thursday 26 June. Successful candidates will be invited to an interview on Monday 30 June at lunchtime.

S5/S6 EMA Applications 2025/26 (Mrs Cook)
EMA application forms can now only be accessed and completed online at www.fife.gov.uk/ema. If successful, an EMA Learning Agreement will be posted out to your home address. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year. Note – Applications for the 2025/26 academic year will be open on Monday 7 July 2025. Please complete form and return to Mrs Cook in the school office.

Celebrate Poland (The Equalities Group)
During the month of June, we are celebrating Poland. When you see a member of staff or another young person, instead of your usual greeting, please use “Witam” instead: https://www.google.com/search?q=Witam&ved=1t%3A165021&source=s.o.t    Our fact for this week: There are 7 countries bordering Poland – Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Russia.

School Show (Mrs Duckett)
Matilda Tickets are now on sale for our production of Matilda on 25th, 26th & 27th June at 7:30pm in our Assembly Hall. Come and be entertained by our amazing cast and crew in their dynamic, fresh and exciting musical production of Matilda! Tickets available at the school office – £7 full price, £4 concessions.

Live in the Assembly Hall 25th 26h 27th June 2025 at 7.30PM Ticket Prices: Full Price £7 Concessions £4. Orchestrations and Additional Music by Chris Nightingale. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International. All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

Article 27: Healthy Food – Free Food (Mrs Young)
Free Food: We are trying to reduce food waste therefore can you please come along to D2 at the end of each day to make use of the free food that is available. This will include food that has been cooked in home economics as well as fresh food that needs to be used up. This will be available every day on a first come first served basis and will help make sure food does not get binned which is good for us and the environment! There is usually even more excess on a Friday so get down ASAP! Thanks, Rights Respecting Schools Group

Chess club runs Thursday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand master’s welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.

Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Thursday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. See Dr Murray for a pass. Bring you lunch!

Together We Can Group (Miss Johnston)
Together We Can will run on Thursday lunch time. Come down to the PE department at lunch.

FRIDAY 27 JUNE
