Japanese Club Visit

今日は to KHS

On Friday the 27th September 2024 the Japanese club hosted a workshop and had a delightful experience. We met a Japanese professor and Doctor of Japanese studies from the University of Edinburgh. They taught us how to say Hello, Thank you and things from Japan, as well as a very interactive origami class. We learned how to make a selection of origami animals from a fox to a crane. We were so good at making the animals they gave us the opportunity to make Origami planes. We also wore traditional Japanese Garments and learned how to formally bow. At the end of the session, we were also able to ask questions and Jordan & Logan presented them with flowers to show our appreciation.

We would like to expand our Japanese club, and soon hope to enjoy establishing pen pals through this new connection.

Japanese club is on a Monday at lunch time in C9, new members are welcome.
