Lost property in PE (Mr Stewart)
Already, we have a huge amount of clothing left in PE. We have school uniform, PE kit and school bags. If you have left anything in the PE changing rooms over the first week back, please come down and ask one of the PE staff to check our lost property.
Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton club will begin NEXT Monday from 3:30-4:15 in the games hall. This is open to all pupils in S1-S6.
STEPS S3 (Miss Law)
Can S3 pupils please come straight to the STEPS classroom (old guidance room) period 4 today.
Basketball Club (Mr Stewart)
The Basketball club will start today after school in the PE department and will run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. This club is open to all pupils and all experience levels. We will develop your skills as well as playing games. You must bring a full change of kit to take part in the club.
MVP Training (Mrs Dempsey)
MVP Training for S5 and S6 will take place in the Assembly Hall next Monday the 9th and Wednesday the 11th.

S3 Royal Navy Outreach (Mr. McCowan)
Today, members of the Royal Navy will be visiting KHS to do activities with S3 Maths classes in the IT Hub. However, these may not be at the times you are scheduled to be in Maths class.
S4-S6 Royal Navy Careers (Mr. McCowan)
Today at Period 5 (1215-1305) members of the Royal Navy Outreach Team will be in the IT Hub to give a talk about the opportunities available as Ratings and Officers in the Royal Navy. This is a fantastic opportunity to speak with serving members of the Armed Forces about the varied and rewarding opportunities on offer after secondary school.
YASS Open University Courses (S6) (Mrs Hamilton)
For those of you who have registered to do a YASS course this year, I have sent an email to your GLOW email with information about an induction course that you need to complete prior to starting your actual course, Please start to work through this course in your allocated YASS time. If you have any issues, please let me know.

S5/S6 EMA Applications 2024/25 (Mrs Cook)
EMA Applications Forms can now only be accessed and completed online at www.fife.gov.uk/ema If successful an EMA Learning Agreement will be posted out to your home address. Please complete form and return to Mrs Cook in the school office.
If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after the 4th October 2024 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.
Fife Council, Fitzgerald Trust Scheme – 2024/2025, School Pupils (Mrs McNab)
Applications are invited from SCHOOL PUPILS for awards from the funds of the above Trust Scheme in respect of the academic year 2024/2025 (see information below for school leavers). Awards are available to assist pupils in continuing their education at school in fifth and sixth years. Applicants must be attending a secondary school in Kirkcaldy and must be resident within the former Burgh of Kirkcaldy at the time the award is made. The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!
Creative Well-being Club (PSO Team)
There is a new opportunity open to pupils to join the Creative Well-being Club. The group will be creating and designing a new school poster to showcase the well-being indicators and what they are. This will run on Tuesday lunchtimes in the Inclusion Hub. There will be a house point incentive for participating.
Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones & Ms Barclay)
Are you a maths whiz looking for a club where you can really challenge yourself? Join our Enterprising Maths Club and tackle mind-bending problems with other students. There’s even a chance to represent the school in maths competitions, so get involved!
Come to B4 every Tuesday lunchtime.
School Netball (Miss Johnston & Mrs Poynter
School netball is for all age groups, where you will have the opportunity to train on a weekly basis and compete in competitive matches against other schools. All school netball is FREE and there are no match fees.
S1/S2 will train on Tuesday night 3:30 – 4:15pm
