Friday is a dress-down-day in aid of charity. Donate £1 in “Tutor”, or whatever you can afford. The usual rules apply – no football colours, and no inappropriate clothing.

Anyone in S6 who may be considering a career in Childcare or are looking to Volunteer to enhance their applications/CV, please see Mrs Dempsey in Guidance as an opportunity has arisen at the local Brownies group on a Tuesday evening for a volunteer.
Maths – Scientific Calculators (Mr Cromb)
I have now placed an order for scientific calculators with our supplier. If you have already paid your name has been recorded, you will receive your calculator after the summer break. If your parents/carers responded to say that they would like to order a calculator for you they can now pay for it on iPayImpact. Alternatively, you can wait until after the holidays and pay at the school office. If your parents didn’t respond to the survey they can still do so. All parents were sent a link via email.
S3 Jupiter Artland Trip (Miss Cobban)

There is an opportunity to visit Jupiter Artland (Edinburgh) and participate in a number of creative workshops. If you are interested in this trip, please see Miss Cobban in B28 to collect a permission form. There are only 14 spaces available so be quick!
S5/S6 EMA Applications 2024/25 (Mrs Cook)
Any S5/6 pupils who may be eligible for EMA can apply on the Fife Council website around the middle of July. If successful, an EMA Learning Agreement will be posted out to your home address. Please complete the form and return to Mrs Cook in the school office. Please note – if you were eligible last year you still have to re-apply.
Fife Council, Fitzgerald Trust Scheme – 2024/2025, School Pupils (Mrs McNab)
Applications are invited from SCHOOL PUPILS for awards from the funds of the above Trust Scheme in respect of the academic year 2024/2025 (see information below for school leavers). Awards are available to assist pupils in continuing their education at school in fifth and sixth years. Applicants must be attending a secondary school in Kirkcaldy and must be resident within the former Burgh of Kirkcaldy at the time the award is made. Active Schools wish to better understand what extra-curricular activities would spark an interest to you once schools move to half day Fridays. Regular sporting activity can help pupils develop their focus, refresh their perspective and provide a break from every day school life.

We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Saturday morning. You could be involved, even if you’re never available on a Saturday! We meet every Friday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.
