Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Breaded fish or Salmon fish fingers and chips or Mediterranean frittata.

Road Safety (Mr McKay)
Young people are reminded that they should take care crossing roads, especially Dunnikier Way. Please use the crossings provided. Please also make use of the crossing officer at the beginning of the day, break, lunch and end of school day. Young people should not attempt to cross at other points and should always remain vigilant. This message will be re-enforced through assemblies and SE in the coming weeks.

It is also important that young people attend all timetabled classes, sign-out as appropriate and follow all expectations. Again, these will be re-enforced through assemblies and your class teachers.

Tutor Classes/Friday afternoon classes for June (Mrs Hamilton)
Tutor classes and Friday afternoon classes will not appear on your new timetables. Please see the attached information for where you have to go for Tutor and Friday afternoons in June. In August there will be no tutor classes and you will finish after period 5 on a Friday.

The outside girls’ toilets are closed for repair, please use the inside ones at Maths instead.

S2 First Chances (Dr Black)
Can all S2 First Chances pupils attend a short meeting at break time in A6 please.

Edinburgh Pride – Saturday 22 June (Dr Murray) 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
There is an opportunity to go to Edinburgh Pride this year. We will take part in the march, as well as explore the stalls, and Youth Zone. EVERYONE is welcome at a Pride, whether you identify as LGBT+, or not. See Dr M in A4 if you’re interested!

RAF Youth STEM Event (Miss Irvine)
If you are currently in S2 and have chosen to study Physics, Science, Engineering Science, Design and Manufacture, Computing Science or Computer Games Development in S3 you are invited along to attend a STEM workshop on Tuesday 11 June in the Library. Most of you have been issued with a permission slip during Science this week, can you please return the signed permission slip to either your Science teacher or myself ASAP. If you have not been given a form, please come and collect one from A1!

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray)
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Saturday morning. You could be involved, even if you’re never available on a Saturday! We meet every Friday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

KHS D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) Group (Dr Murray/Miss Collins)
The KHS D&D Group meets in D2 (Home Ec) every Friday after school. Take part in exciting adventures and storytelling. It’s all up to the fate of the dice!

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray)
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!
