🗑️ Litter Pick at the Den – Saturday 28th March, 10am

There will be another community litter pick at The Den this Saturday at 10am. 📌 Please see the attached poster for full details.

💬 What’s Being Said
You may have seen comments on Fife Jammers about the unacceptable amount of litter being dropped in the Den. The message from the public is clear: It’s our shared responsibility to look after our community and our home.

🤝 How You Can Help

🌱 Join the litter pick if you can

🚯 Don’t drop litter

💛 Encourage others to take pride in our community

🏡 Be a role model for caring for our shared spaces

Together, we can make a real difference and help keep our local area beautiful.

Easter Raffle (Mrs Foster)
SLD 1 will be selling Lucky Tickets for an Easter Egg Raffle. These will be on sale at break time, from outside the PSO base. They are 50p each.

Culture Month (Mrs Gibb)
This month’s Country of the Month is… Japan!

When you see each other, rather than saying hello, let’s use the Japanese word for hello instead:
こんにちは
Kon’nichiwa

Google Translate

Did you know: Japanese people celebrate the start of Spring with a bean-throwing ritual. This is said to ward away evil spirits and welcome good fortune.

Word of the Week (Mrs MacKenzie)

Cavalier

Definition:  Someone described as cavalier shows no concern for important or serious matters.

Cavalier also describes attitudes, manners, etc., that show the same lack of concern.

Example:  The company provides regular training about the dangers of being cavalier in sharing privileged information.

Rights of the Fortnight (Mrs Young)
Article 30 – Minority Culture and language and religion

Fact: Look out for our “culture of the month” celebrations around KHS where we focus in on and try to learn about different languages and cultures.
