Pupils in RME last week have been learning about inspiring women as part of our International Women’s Day celebrations.

Each pupil was given an individual woman to research and asked to find out more about her life, achievements, and impact on the world.

We have been absolutely blown away by the effort pupils have put in and the quality of research they have produced.

Below just a brief snapshot of some of their fantastic work.

You can support this learning at home by asking your young person:

• whether they completed this task,
• who they researched, and
• what they discovered about their chosen inspiring woman.

You might also want to have a conversation together about the inequalities women still face today, and why International Women’s Day continues to be such an important global event.
