Youth Music Theatre (Mrs Duckett)

🎭 Kirkcaldy Youth Music Theatre – Huge Congratulations! ❄️

A massive well done to all members of Kirkcaldy Youth Music Theatre who took to the stage for their production of Frozen at the Adam Smith Theatre.
Last night’s opening performance was an absolute sensation and a fantastic showcase of everyone’s hard work and talent.

🎟️ Tickets are still available for the Friday and Saturday shows — don’t miss the chance to see this magical production!

Girls Rugby (Mr Harrower)
There is a meeting at break outside the PE classroom on Monday 23rd February for those girls taking part in the festival at Madras on Tuesday.

Fife Schools Swimming Championships (Mr Stewart)
If you are a Club Swimmer and would like to enter this years Championship, please come down to the PE Department to see Mr Stewart any Break or Lunchtime this week.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Due to a staff meeting afterschool, Badminton club is cancelled on Monday.

Ramadan & Lent (Mrs Whyte)
Ramadan starts this week. If you’re fasting and want a quiet place to go at break or lunchtime, the RME classrooms will be open for you. Please speak to an RME teacher to let them know.

Lent, a Christian festival also begins this week for anyone taking part.

Please just look out for each other during this time. If you’ve got any questions, come and chat to any RME teacher.

S4 & S5 Law Students (Mrs Nessel)
Discover Law is an interactive taster day for S4 and S5 pupils who are planning to apply to university to study Law in 2027 and beyond.

Facetious

Definition:  Facetious is used to describe something, such as a remark or behaviour, that is meant to be humorous or funny but is sometimes instead annoying, silly, or improper. It can also be used to describe someone who is joking, often implying that they are doing so inappropriately.

Example:  The emcee delivered several facetious quips throughout the night that the audience found in poor taste.
