S4 Lift Off Trip (Miss Nessel)
Pupils should meet in Miss Nessel’s room tomorrow (D8) at 8.40am. The bus will leave at 8.45am. If you are not on time, the bus will leave without you and you cannot attend the trip. If your name is on the list and you don’t intend to go, please let Miss Nessel know ASAP. Lunch is provided for you. We will return to school before the end of the day.

Introduction to Engineering experience day for S5–S6 pupils (Miss Barclay)
We have been offered an exciting opportunity to attend an introduction to engineering day at Raytheon, who are a local engineering company. Talk to apprentices and early-career ambassadors, take part in some problem-solving activities, and have the chance to look around an engineering workplace.

See Miss Barclay in B4 on Thursday afternoon to register your interest. Spaces are VERY limited!

Paris Trip (Miss Coggill)
Can all pupils going on the Paris trip please attend an essential meeting on Thursday (5th February)  at 13:15 in C7.  Can any pupils who are unable to attend ensure that they make Miss Coggill aware.

S6 Leavers Hoodies (Mr Sanderson)
Samples and colours are now available in B9 for S6 leavers hoodies. Please ensure that you have paid your money and chose your size/ colour by Friday 6th February.   Any issues please see Mr Sanderson.

Jabberwocky

Definition:  Jabberwocky refers to meaningless speech or writing.

Example:  When the character gets angry or flustered, she talks in a sort of agitated jabberwocky that is really quite comical.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray) 📻
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Wednesday. You could be involved. We meet every Wednesday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

S2 Code Club (Mr Turnbull)
Calling all likeminded S2 with an interest in coding. Meet in D6 every Wed. Bring your lunch. See Mr Turnbull in D6 for a pass.

The Treblemakers Choir (Mr Wilkie)
Do you love singing? Do you love performing? Warmup your vocal cords as ‘The Treblemakers Choir’ is just for you. Come and join Mrs Simpson and Mr Wilkie in the Music department on Wednesday’s afterschool in room E13. We are asking you to join The Treblemakers if you have interest in joining future school shows. All are welcome.

Chess Club (Mr Morrice)
Chess club runs Wednesday lunchtimes in A9, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand master’s welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black or Mr Morrice if you would like to come along.

Anime & Manga Club (Mrs Kelsey)
The Anime and Manga club runs every Wednesday lunchtime with Ms Kelsey in B29. Come along to watch anime, read manga, and draw manga.

Physics Study Support (Ms Solowczuk)
This will run on Wednesdays after school. Come and see any Physics teacher in A7, A9 or A10.

THURSDAY 05 JANUARY

Are you baffled by bonding, addled by atoms, or flummoxed by formulae? If so, Chemistry Study Support is available Thursday after school in A4/A5/A6. Bring all your problems to the lab bench. You could even use it as a quiet space to get some homework done. Everyone is welcome!

Japanese Club (Mr Stewart)
Come and join us in C9 after school for Japanese Club.

Drama Club (Mr McPherson)
Drama club every Thursday after school in Mr McPherson’s Drama Studio 15:30 to 16:25.

Indoor ‘Gardening’ Club (Mrs Brown🍀)
For winter, Gardening Club is moving inside. Pupils who would like to draw, paint, or research, garden plants are welcome to attend C11, with their lunch. 🍃

Netball (Mrs Poynter)
Netball training is going to start this Thursday lunch time for S1 – S4. Anyone is welcome to come along. Please make sure you finish your lunch before coming down.
