Hot Meal:  Soup of the day, Traditional Macaroni Cheese served with Garlic Bread or Tasty Tomato Tuna Pastabake with Garlic Bread. Chicken Fries at breaktime.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Unfortunately, badminton club will not be on after school today. The club will start next week.

S3 Junior House Leaders Opportunity (School Captains)
We are looking for S3’s who are interested in being a house leader. this is a great opportunity as you will be the first s3 pupils at KHS to be house leaders and you will get a say in which house events we run this year and in helping your house win the house points competition!

Culture Month (Mrs Gibb)
Continuing our celebration of the different cultures and languages within our school, we say goodbye to August and to China, and “Hiya” or “Ciao” to September and to …Italy!

When greeting staff and each other, instead of saying “Hiya”, please say Ciao. The link to hear it pronounced is:  click here to hear it

Italy is the home of the Ferrari and the Lamborghini  (beep, beep!)

Rights Respecting Schools Group (Miss Young)
The first meeting with all new members (S6 who interviewed this week and ALL S1 pupils who signed up) will be on Monday lunchtime in B14. We will be making some plans for this session – choosing which rights to work on and also planning our first assembly. Group starts at 1:15 but feel free to come along at 1:05 and bring your lunch with you. Snack will be provided for the meeting also.

Uncanny

Definition: Uncanny is typically used to describe something that is strange or unusual in a way that is surprising or difficult to understand. It can also describe something
that seems to have a  supernatural character or origin.
Example: The child has an uncanny ability to recognize streets and locations she’s seen only once or twice before.
