Can all S3 first chances pupils attend a short meeting today at break in A6.
S5/6 UCAS Applicants (Mr Farquharson)
Any one in S5/6 who is applying to university this year for courses that have an October deadline must see their guidance teacher as soon as possible. If you can’t find them, scan the QR code for getting an appointment. October courses are: all courses at Oxford or Cambridge university, and most courses in medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine.
Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton Club will begin on Monday 8th September afterschool for all pupils in S1-S6 in the Games Hall. All pupils are welcome.
S1-S6 Digital Leaders Sign Up (Miss Samfat)
Digital Leaders are people with a passion for technology who want to share their knowledge with others and promote the use of all things digital throughout the school. Being a Digital Leader is a fantastic opportunity to take on responsibility, learn new skills and develop and demonstrate your leadership skills.
Digital Leaders may be asked to do things such as:
- Help other pupils/teachers with technology in the classroom. Things such as helping to sign into/join a Team or show someone how to download an app
- Create help videos to show people how to use different types of technology or work certain apps etc on their iPads
- Help to run a Genius Bar at lunchtimes/parents nights/school events to assist pupils/staff with using technology
- Mentor new pupils in how to use their iPads
- Help teachers in running after school/lunchtime clubs to use certain pieces of technology e.g. stop motion animations etc etc

Continuing our celebration of the different cultures and languages within our school, we say goodbye to August and to China, and “Hiya” or “Ciao” to September and to …Italy!

Mrs Christie is going to be starting a lunchtime crochet club. This is for ALL pupils, all experience levels are welcome. S1-3 Girls Football (Miss Steedman)
Training will start after school next Tuesday (9th of September) 3.30pm-4.15pm, and will be every Tuesday from then. Meet in the PE Department with a change of kit and we will head over to the astro together.
Rights Respecting Schools Group (Miss Young)
The first meeting with all new members (S6 who interviewed this week and ALL S1 pupils who signed up) will be on Monday lunchtime in B14. We will be making some plans for this session – choosing which rights to work on and also planning our first assembly. Group starts at 1:15 but feel free to come along at 1:05 and bring your lunch with you. Snack will be provided for the meeting also.
Fitzgerald Trust Award 2025/26 (School Office)
Applications are now open to all S5 and S6 pupils, with the exception those who live outwith Kirkcaldy. The application should be completed by Friday 5th September 2025 by completing either the link or QR code below. Definition: Plethora refers to a very large amount or number of something. Plethora is most often used in the phrase “a plethora of.”
Example: The hotel offers a plethora of amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness centre, and world-class dining.
