Dress Down Day (Dr Murray)
Thursday is the last day before the summer, and is of course a “Dress Down Day”. The usual rules apply – keep it school-sensible, and no football colours. Dress to impress! Please pay £1 period 1, or whatever you can afford. It all goes to the local foodbank, supporting folk in OUR local community. ☀️
Instruments (Mrs Duckett)
All musicians must take their instruments home and NOT leave them in instrument drop-off/lying around the music dept. over the summer holidays! Please collect ASAP. Enjoy practicing and making progress!
Fitzgerald Trust Award 2025/26 (Mrs McNab)
Applications are now open to all S5 and S6 pupils, with the exception those who live outwith Kirkcaldy. S5/S6 EMA Applications 2025/26 (Mrs Cook)
EMA application forms can now only be accessed and completed online at www.fife.gov.uk/ema. If successful, an EMA Learning Agreement will be posted out to your home address. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year. Note – Applications for the 2025/26 academic year will be open on Monday 7 July 2025. Please complete form and return to Mrs Cook in the school office.
Article 27: Healthy Food – Free Food (Mrs Young)
Free Food: We are trying to reduce food waste therefore can you please come along to D2 at the end of each day to make use of the free food that is available. This will include food that has been cooked in home economics as well as fresh food that needs to be used up. This will be available every day on a first come first served basis and will help make sure food does not get binned which is good for us and the environment! Article 4 – Making Rights Real: The Rights group have helped children across the community and the world to achieve their rights through various campaigns including a fund for young people in Ukraine, stationary banks for young people during covid and by creating blankets for the homeless from recycled crisp packets.

We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Wednesday. You could be involved. We meet every Wednesday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Thursday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
