Thursday and Friday saw our S3 participants head out on the final section of their Duke of Edinburgh Awards around the Lomond Hills. Each group came well prepared for the elements with a very wet and windy start around West Lomond before setting up camp at Pillars.

S’mores and football were the theme of the evening, with groups enjoying chats around the campfires while some even found more energy for games of football.

Friday really challenged our teams in their commitment, motivation and working with each other, with the tough climb up towards and around East Lomond before returning for pick-up. For some this became an invaluable practice expedition with feedback given to reflect and prepare for our next opportunity in Aug-Oct.

Excellent achievement for all, whether this was the practice or qualifying and our participants certainly earned a well-deserved break over the long weekend!
