S3 Parents’/Carers’ Evening In School on Tuesday 18 March – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
The parent/carer on-line booking system is open. Booking system closes at 11:55pm on Sunday 16 March 2025.

School Show (Mr Wilkie)
There is a singing rehearsal for the Full Matilda Jr Cast on Thursday 6 March. We will be running and fixing all the numbers we have completed. Make sure you bring plenty of water and your script. Please let Mr Wilkie know if you cannot attend.

Glee Choir (Mr Wilkie)
There is no glee rehearsal this Tuesday or Wednesday due to SQA Practical Exams. We will return next week.

Music Practice Room (Mrs Duckett)
The music practice rooms are out of bounds all week, including break and lunchtimes, due to SQA exams taking place and a departmental tidy-up. Only S4-S6 SQA musicians are allowed to use them in preparation for their performance assessment.

In2Med S4-6 (Mr McCowan)
Interested in studying nursing or medicine? Then head along to the library Period 3 on Wednesday to hear from In2Med, a charity committed to widening participation in medicine. They will talk about the grades needed, the UCAT, the university application process and how to succeed at your studies. If you are interested then register with your teacher and head along at the start of Period 3. Any questions then please see Mr McCowan in C4.

Ramadan Lunchroom (Mrs Logue)
For all pupils who are currently fasting for Ramadan, C12 (Mrs Logue’s room) is available during break and lunch times to support you with your fast. Ramadan Mubarak!

Article 3: Best Interests of the Child “In KHS we try to include young people in all major school decisions. You can get involved through forums, focus groups and by joining different groups in the school”.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray) 📻
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Wednesday. You could be involved. We meet every Wednesday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

Anime and Manga Club (Ms Kelsey)
Anime and Manga club will be on a Wednesday lunchtime in B29.

Classics Film Club (Mrs Brown)
Classics Film Club is at lunch time today. All welcome. Bring your lunch to C11. See me in advance for a pass. Historical Action/Adventure: In Roman-ruled Britain, a young Roman soldier endeavours to honour his father’s memory by finding his lost legion’s golden emblem.

Japanese Club (Mrs Morris)
Japanese club will run on a Wednesday afterschool 3:30-4:15pm in C9 with Mrs Morris. New members welcome.

S6 Yearbook & Prom Committee (Miss Lipton)
The Yearbook and Prom Committee will meet from 3:25pm each Wednesday in D9.

S3-S6 Netball (Mrs Little)
S3-S6 will train on a Wednesday night 3:30-4:15pm.

S2 Football (Mr Pennel)
S2 Football will run Wednesday after school from 3:25-4:15pm.

THURSDAY 6 MARCH

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Scottish Breaded Haddock or Fish Fingers with Chips, or a Cheese and Onion Pastry Parcel also served with Chips.

Chess Club (Dr Black)
Chess club runs Thursday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand master’s welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.

Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Thursday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. See Dr Murray for a pass. Bring you lunch!

Together We Can Group (Miss Johnston)
Together We Can group is on after school, Thursdays in the PE department from 3:30-4:15pm.
