Girls Toilets (Mrs Hume)
Due to vandalism in the girls toilet at lunchtime yesterday. There will now be a member of staff there at lunchtime and numbers going in will be limited. Do not bring food to the toilets.

Assemblies (Mr Young)
Assemblies will take place today, please go to class first and your teacher will bring the class to the Assembly Hall. Assemblies will take place at the following times:

Period 3 – S3

DET Models (Mr Fulton)
All pupils who studied N4/N5 Design & Manufacture, Practical Woodwork or Practical Metalwork last year can now come and collect their models. Please do so by 17.01.25. Any models not claimed by this point will be recycled.
Music Lessons (Mrs Duckett)
All instrumental music lessons begin again this week. Please make sure you attend your lesson promptly and don’t keep your instructor waiting! Timetables are available on Teams and on the Music Dept noticeboards. Any questions, please see Mrs Duckett or Mrs Simpson.
Matilda Rehearsals (Ms Bruce)
Just a reminder that Acting Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday 3:30-4:30pm. We will go over Scenes 1 – 8 (everything blocked so far). Full cast is essential.
Singing Rehearsal for the School Show (Mr Wilkie)
Singing rehearsals for school show will start on Thursday 9 January in Music E13. Full Cast will be required this week.
Glee Choir (Mr Wilkie)
Glee Choir will run in the Music Department on Tuesday & Wednesday lunchtime in E12. Glee will no longer run after school.
S1-S2 Netball (Miss Johnston)
If any S1 & S2 girls or boys want to play netball in the upcoming match against Glenrothes, please come and see Miss Johnston at break. You don’t need to of attended the training sessions to play in these games.
S3 Yoga Class Thursday (Mrs Patton)
We will be having a practical asana class, please go to the Dance Studio at the start of period 5.
Japanese Club (Mrs Morris)
As the Japanese Club is growing we need to move it to after school to give us more time to learn and develop our understanding of the language and culture. This will now take place on a Tuesday in C9 from 3:30-4:15 pm. This will start on Tuesday 14 January. New members welcome.
French Study Support – All levels (Mrs Morris)
French study support for N4/5 and Higher will take place on a Monday after school in C9. This will start on Monday 13 January and will be on from 3:30-4:30pm in C9.
S2 Parents’/Carers’ Evening In School on Wednesday 15 January – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
The parent/carer on-line booking system is open. Booking system closes at 11:55pm on Monday 13 January 2025.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray) 📻
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Wednesday. You could be involved. We meet every Wednesday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.
Anime and Manga Club (Ms Kelsey)
Anime and Manga club will be on a Wednesday lunchtime in B29.

Chess club runs Thursday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand master’s welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.
Together We Can Group (Miss Johnston)
Together We Can group is on after school, Thursdays in the PE department from 3:30-4:15pm.
Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Thursday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
