Instructions will be emailed to Parents’/Carers’ this afternoon on how to access the on-line booking system which will go live tonight, Monday 16 December at 6:00pm. Bookings close at 11:55pm on Monday 13 January 2025.

S1 football training is cancelled tonight and is now on Wednesday after school.
S3 Tenner Challenge (Miss Nessel)
Those groups who were successful in gaining funding have had their materials on Friday afternoon. Ensure you bring anything else you need to Miss Nessel on/before Tuesday lunch time. If you still need to collect your bags, these were delivered over the weekend, come and do that on Monday ASAP. I have contacted parents to let them know you will attending the fair on Tuesday night. Christmas Memorial Baubles (Pamela, PSO)
If you would like to have a personalised bauble in memory of a loved one, please see Pamela (PSO). You can hang it on the school’s memorial tree at reception before taking it home to hang on your own tree. Any baubles left on the tree will be hung each year.

S6 – Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) Webinar (Mr McCowan)
Period 5 today there will be a webinar for any S6 pupils applying for higher education this year in the IT Hub. Please go to your Study period class to register and then head down. The presentation will cover how to apply for funding for university and the bursaries/financial support available to you to support you. Any questions then please come and ask Mr McCowan in C4.
S2 and S3 Public Speaking Competition (Mrs Harrower)
There is an fantastic opportunity for 4 S2 or S3 pupils to take part in the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Public Speaking Competition 2025! This is an National competition and if you make it through the heats, the final is held at Parliament House in Edinburgh! This competition will require you to debate a topic and deliver a speech on the topic in front of others – you will lots of time to prepare the speech in advance. This is done in pairs and there are only 4 places available. Please speak to Mrs Harrower in C2 if you are interested in taking part or if you would like any more information.
Xmas Concert Musicians (Mrs Simpson)
Below is the rehearsal schedule for Monday 16 December. Please come to the hall at the start of the period at your allocated slot. You must have all music and instruments with you on Monday and Tuesday.
Please remember to bring a packed lunch on Tuesday as musicians will have an early lunch during period 5 in the music dept. Afternoon performance starts at 1:30pm in the Hall for Primary schools.

Rights Respecting Schools Group and Ambassadors (Miss Young)
Can all existing members and anyone keen to join come along to B14 and anyone who expressed interest in being an ambassador. The meeting will be about new projects coming up this year as well as discussing membership, badges and choice of meeting days (feel free to bring lunch).
Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes)
If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Monday lunchtime.

Fitness Suite Mondays (Mrs Steedman)
Every Monday lunchtime the Fitness Suite will be open to all pupils S1-S6. Grab a quick lunch and come down to use the equipment, you can do whatever workout you like, some cardio or some weights, entirely up to you!

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray) 🏳️⚧️
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!
Creative Well-being Club (PSO Team)
There is a new opportunity open to pupils to join the Creative Well-being Club. The group will be creating and designing a new school poster to showcase the well-being indicators and what they are. This will run on Tuesday lunchtimes in the Inclusion Hub. There will be a house point incentive for participating.
Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones & Ms Barclay)
Are you a maths whiz looking for a club where you can really challenge yourself? Join our Enterprising Maths Club and tackle mind-bending problems with other students. There’s even a chance to represent the school in maths competitions, so get involved! Come to B4 every Tuesday lunchtime.
Glee Choir (Mr Wilkie)
Glee will now run a Tuesday lunchtime rehearsal in Music from 1:20pm.
S1-S2 Netball (Miss Johnston & Mrs Poynter)
S1-S2 will train on Tuesday night, 3:30-4:15pm.
S1-S6 Dance Club (Miss Johnston & Mrs Poynter)
Dance Club will be running for all S1-S6 after school on Tuesdays at 3.25pm.
S1-S3 Study Club (Dr Black)
If you need a place to complete your homework or get some extra practice in come along to D10 on Tuesday lunchtimes (1:15-1:45pm).
Chemistry Study Support (Chemistry Teachers)
If you need help with any aspect of Chemistry or S1-S2 Science, at any level then Chemistry Study Support is the place to get it. One of your happy, smiling chemistry teachers will be available Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm in either of A4, A5, or A6 for all your questions, queries and conundrums. You could also simply use this as a quiet place to study, or even get that homework task completed that you’ve been putting off since the dawn of time. All welcome!
