Christmas Assemblies (Mr Young)
Our Christmas assemblies will take place today. These will be house assemblies and take place at the following times:

P2: Adam Smith
P3: Carlyle
P5: Oswald

Please go to your class to register first and then you will be taken to the Hall.

Christmas Memorial Baubles (Pamela, PSO)
If you would like to have a personalised bauble in memory of a loved one, please see Pamela (PSO). You can hang it on the school’s memorial tree at reception before taking it home to hang on your own tree. Any baubles left on the tree will be hung each year.

Christmas Concert (Mrs Duckett)
Could all musicians collect their tickets from Mrs Duckett ASAP at break and lunchtimes.

S6 – Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) Webinar (Mr McCowan)
On Period 5 on Monday 16 December there will be a webinar for any S6 pupils applying for higher education this year in the IT Hub. Please go to your Study period class to register and then head down. The presentation will cover how to apply for funding for university and the bursaries/financial support available to you to support you. Any questions then please come and ask Mr McCowan in C4.

S2 and S3 Public Speaking Competition (Mrs Harrower)
There is an fantastic opportunity for 4 S2 or S3 pupils to take part in the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Public Speaking Competition 2025! This is an National competition and if you make it through the heats, the final is held at Parliament House in Edinburgh! This competition will require you to debate a topic and deliver a speech on the topic in front of others – you will lots of time to prepare the speech in advance. This is done in pairs and there are only 4 places available. Please speak to Mrs Harrower in C2 if you are interested in taking part or if you would like any more information.

Xmas Concert Musicians (Mrs Simpson)
Below is the rehearsal schedule for Monday 16 December. Please come to the hall at the start of the period at your allocated slot. You must have all music and instruments with you on Monday and Tuesday.
Please remember to bring a packed lunch on Tuesday as musicians will have an early lunch during period 5 in the music dept. Afternoon performance starts at 1:30pm in the Hall for Primary schools.

Period 1 – Period 2 – Wind Band, Clarinet/Flute Groups, Brass Solos
Period 3 – Period 5 – String Group and Trio, Guitar Group, Instrumental Solos and Eve
Period 6 – Period 7 – Glee Choir and Vocal soloists

School Nurse Drop-in Service (School Nursing Team)
The school nurse drop-in service runs in Meeting Room 1 every Friday at break time. You can see them for all issues health related. No appointment necessary

Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Johnston)
Mental Health Ambassadors meeting in B15 at lunchtime.

Rights Respecting Schools Group and Ambassadors (Miss Young)
Can all existing members and anyone keen to join come along to B14 and anyone who expressed interest in being an ambassador. The meeting will be about new projects coming up this year as well as discussing membership, badges and choice of meeting days (feel free to bring lunch).

Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes)
If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Monday lunchtime.

S1-S6 Badminton (Mr Harrower)
S1-S6 Badminton in the Games Hall on a Monday from 3:30-4:15pm.

S1-S6 Basketball (Mr Stewart)
Basketball for all year groups on Monday from 3.30-4.30pm.

Japanese Club (Mrs Morris)
Japanese club will run on a Monday lunchtime in C9 with Mrs Morris. Come along with your lunch and learn about the Japanese culture and language.

S1 Football (Mr Geissler)
S1 boys football training after school Monday (3.30-4.15pm). Meet in the PE department.

U15 Boys Football (Mr Mooney)
U15 Football will run on Mondays after school. All welcome.

Fitness Suite Mondays (Mrs Steedman)
Every Monday lunchtime the Fitness Suite will be open to all pupils S1-S6. Grab a quick lunch and come down to use the equipment, you can do whatever workout you like, some cardio or some weights, entirely up to you!
