S5/6 Parents’/Carers’ Evening In School on Thursday 5 December – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
The parent/carer on-line booking system is open. Booking system closes at 11:55pm on Tuesday 3 December.

Glee Choir (Mr Wilkie)
Glee will now be adding a Tuesday (Lunchtime) rehearsal in Music from 1.20pm. All staff are welcome, and you can all bring your lunch with you. They will also rehearse Wednesday afterschool at 3.30-4.30pm.

Study Support (Mr Wilkie)
All National 5 Music pupils are welcome to attend a Supported Study on Monday afterschool at 3.30-4.30pm. This is to help to prepare for your Prelim.

S1 Japanese Visit (Mrs Morris)
On Monday 2 December we are hosting another Japanese visit, this time with important guests from the Japanese Foundation in London. This will be open to 20 lucky S1 pupils interested in learning Japanese. This visit will be in C9 from 1:15-2:30pm (so starts during lunch) therefore you will need either a packed lunch or be in the dinner hall as quick as possible. Please scan the QR code to register your interest or come and see the Japanese Club members during lunch any Monday in C9. You will receive an official invitation which will remind you of the details of this event.

Christmas Concert Poster Competition (Mrs Duckett)
Please design a vibrant and eye catching Christmas Concert Poster and hand to the Music Department by Friday 29 November! The winning design will be used in all our publicity! Concert details: Tuesday 17 December, 6.30pm.

Right of the Fortnight (Miss Young)
Article 24 – Health, Food, Water, Environment. Fact: In KHS this right is met in a number of ways in a number of ways including: Free water in the drinking fountains, free food in home economics to cook and eat and also free extra-curricular sports club and subsidized breakfast club in school.

Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Johnston)
Mental Health Ambassadors meeting in B15 at lunchtime.

Rights Respecting Schools Group and Ambassadors (Miss Young)
Can all existing members and anyone keen to join come along to B14 and anyone who expressed interest in being an ambassador. The meeting will be about new projects coming up this year as well as discussing membership, badges and choice of meeting days (feel free to bring lunch).

Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes)
If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Monday lunchtime.

Japanese Club (Mrs Morris)
Japanese club will run on a Monday lunchtime in C9 with Mrs Morris. Come along with your lunch and learn about the Japanese culture and language.

S1 Football (Mr Geissler)
S1 boys football training after school Monday (3.30-4.15pm). Meet in the PE department.

U15 Boys Football (Mr Mooney)
U15 Football will run on Mondays after school. All welcome.

Fitness Suite Mondays (Mrs Steedman)
Every Monday lunchtime the Fitness Suite will be open to all pupils S1-S6. Grab a quick lunch and come down to use the equipment, you can do whatever workout you like, some cardio or some weights, entirely up to you!

TUESDAY 26 NOVEMBER

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Rainbow Sausage & Onions with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Yorkshire Pudding or Pork Sausage with Onions, Gravy and Yorkshire Pudding.

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray) 🏳️‍⚧️
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!

Creative Well-being Club (PSO Team)
There is a new opportunity open to pupils to join the Creative Well-being Club. The group will be creating and designing a new school poster to showcase the well-being indicators and what they are. This will run on Tuesday lunchtimes in the Inclusion Hub. There will be a house point incentive for participating.

Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones & Ms Barclay)
Are you a maths whiz looking for a club where you can really challenge yourself? Join our Enterprising Maths Club and tackle mind-bending problems with other students. There’s even a chance to represent the school in maths competitions, so get involved! Come to B4 every Tuesday lunchtime.

S1-S2 Netball (Miss Johnston & Mrs Poynter)
S1-S2 will train on Tuesday night, 3:30-4:15pm.

S1-S6 Dance Club (Miss Johnston & Mrs Poynter)
Dance Club will be running for all S1-S6 after school on Tuesdays at 3.25pm.

S1-S3 Study Club (Dr Black)
If you need a place to complete your homework or get some extra practice in come along to D10 on Tuesday lunchtimes (1:15-1:45pm).

Chemistry Study Support (Chemistry Teachers)
If you need help with any aspect of Chemistry or S1-S2 Science, at any level then Chemistry Study Support is the place to get it. One of your happy, smiling chemistry teachers will be available Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm in either of A4, A5, or A6 for all your questions, queries and conundrums. You could also simply use this as a quiet place to study, or even get that homework task completed that you’ve been putting off since the dawn of time. All welcome!
