Calculator Orders (Mr Cromb)
The Maths Department bulk calculator order has finally arrived. Sorry for the delay, it took a lot longer for them to get here than expected. If you ordered, and have already paid for a calculator, please see Mr Cromb in B1 to collect it. If your parents/carers indicated that they would like to purchase a calculator for you but haven’t paid for it yet, further information will be sent out regarding this. Once existing orders have been fulfilled, any surplus calculators will be made available for people to buy.
Tempest Photographs (Mrs Spence)
If you (or your parent/carer) ordered a photograph from Tempest, please collect it from the school office either during breaktime or lunchtime, or after school. Thank you.
Remembrance Day 2024 (Mrs Harrower)
The House Captains will be coming around classes, giving you the opportunity to donate money for a Poppy. There is no minimum donation and all money raised, will go directly to Poppy Scotland. Poppy Scotland help current members and veterans of the armed forces.
My World of Work Ambassadors S5/6 (Miss Akers)
This additional role will include spreading the word about MyWoW and the resources available to other pupils, parents and teachers. The ambassador programme is a great opportunity to build your CV and develop transferable skills. Please see Miss Akers or Mrs Davidson if you would like to be a My World of Work Ambassador.
Right of the Fortnight: Article 38 Protection in War (Miss Young)
As remembrance day approaches and we reflect on the sacrifices made by our armed forces across the world we will also think about many of the young people that have been affected by war across the world. For example, as the Israel Palestine conflict continues the number of young people effected continues to rise. Currently over 12,000 children have lost their lives since October 2023 as a result of this.

Chess club runs Thursday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand master’s welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.
Together We Can Group (Miss Johnston)
Together We Can group is on after school, Thursdays in the PE department from 3:30-4:15
Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Thursday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
