France Trip 2026 (Miss Coggill)
Fantastic News! The 2026 French trip has been given the go ahead! This will include visits to EuroDisney, Battlefields and Paris. If any pupils from S1-S3 are interested in this trip, can they please attend a meeting in C7 during break today.

Remembrance Day 2024 (Mrs Harrower)
The House Captains will be coming around classes, giving you the opportunity to donate money for a Poppy. There is no minimum donation and all money raised, will go directly to Poppy Scotland. Poppy Scotland help current members and veterans of the armed forces.
My World of Work Ambassadors S5/6 (Miss Akers)
This additional role will include spreading the word about MyWoW and the resources available to other pupils, parents and teachers. The ambassador programme is a great opportunity to build your CV and develop transferable skills. Please see Miss Akers or Mrs Davidson if you would like to be a My World of Work Ambassador.
Matilda Auditions (Ms Bruce)
If you still want to audition for a part in the school musical, you must see Mr Wilkie for an audition piece asap. Auditions for the main speaking roles will take place afterschool today at 3.25pm. Those wanting to do a backstage role or be part of the ensemble do not need to audition, but should give their name to Ms Bruce/Mr Wilkie.

Netball will be on after school today this week due to a staff meeting on Tuesday.
Right of the Fortnight: Article 38 Protection in War (Miss Young)
As remembrance day approaches and we reflect on the sacrifices made by our armed forces across the world we will also think about many of the young people that have been affected by war across the world. For example, as the Israel Palestine conflict continues the number of young people effected continues to rise. Currently over 12,000 children have lost their lives since October 2023 as a result of this.

School Netball (Mrs Little)
School netball resumes next week for all age groups, where you will have the opportunity to train on a weekly basis and compete in competitive matches against other schools. All school netball is FREE and there are no match fees. S3 – S6 will train on Wednesday night 3:30 – 4:15.
KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray) 📻
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Wednesday. You could be involved. We meet every Wednesday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

KHS Glee Club (Mr Wilkie)
KHS Glee Club with Mrs Duckett and Mr Wilkie begins Wednesday after school, 3:30pm – 4:30pm in E12. No auditions, anyone who is interested in trying out singing in a show choir is welcome! Please see Mr Wilkie for more information.
