TUESDAY 29 OCTOBER

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Rainbow Sausage & Onions with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Yorkshire Pudding or Pork Sausage with Onions, Gravy and Yorkshire Pudding.

MVP Mentors (Mr Farquharson)
Can all MVP mentors attend a short meeting in C8 at 13:30 today. It is to look at groups and timings for the class sessions you are delivering. If you don’t turn up, you will just be placed in groups for this.

Senior Football (Mr Caldwell)
Senior Football meeting today at Break Time in D7

School Show (Mr Wilkie)
Any pupils who are interested in auditioning for a part in Matilda Jr. Please attend a lunchtime meeting on Wednesday 30th October in Drama at 1.25pm.

S1 Social Subjects Bingo (Miss Young)
The Social Subjects pupil Ambassadors are holding a house points competition for S1 only.  Come along on Wednesday lunch time at 1:15 to the Assembly for the chance to have some fun and win some points for your house.

Fitness Suite Mondays (Mrs Steedman)
Every Monday lunch time the fitness Suite will be open to all pupils S1-S6. Grab a quick lunch and come down to use the equipment, you can do whatever workout you like, some cardio or some weights, entirely up to you!

Glee Choir (Mr Wilkie)
There will be no Glee Choir this Wednesday. It will resume Wednesday 6th November.

School Netball (Miss Johnston)
After school Netball is cancelled again this week please and will be back on next week.

On behalf of the Rights Ambassadors: Right of the fortnight (Miss Young)
Article 12: Respect for the Views of the Child – Not all young people are able to access this right. In some countries across the world people’s views are not respected, some have even taken measures to stop protest and free speech such as North Korea, China, Iran, Burma, Equatorial Guinea, Turkmenistan and Vietnam.

Kirkcaldy Youth Forum!
Kirkcaldy is starting a Youth Forum! A Youth Forum is a group led by young people to voice what changes they would like to make within their community.  Come along to our event and discuss your community with other young people, have a voice in decision making and also have some fun!
Trust us…it’s very demure…very mindful!  Come along to the first meeting on Tuesday 5th November (5:30pm) at Kirkcaldy Townhouse  P.S. Food will be included…

TODAYS STANDING NOTICES

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray) 🏳️‍⚧️
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!

Creative Well-being Club (PSO Team)
There is a new opportunity open to pupils to join the Creative Well-being Club. The group will be creating and designing a new school poster to showcase the well-being indicators and what they are. This will run on Tuesday lunchtimes in the Inclusion Hub. There will be a house point incentive for participating.

Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones & Ms Barclay)
Are you a maths whiz looking for a club where you can really challenge yourself? Join our Enterprising Maths Club and tackle mind-bending problems with other students. There’s even a chance to represent the school in maths competitions, so get involved! Come to B4 every Tuesday lunchtime.

S1-S6 Dance Club (Miss Johnston & Mrs Poynter)
Dance Club will be running for all S1 to S6 after school on Tuesdays at 3.25pm

S1-3 Study Club (Dr Black)
If you need a place to complete your homework or get some extra practice in come along to D10 on Tuesday lunchtimes (1:15-1:45)

Chemistry Study Support (Chemistry Teachers)
If you need help with any aspect of Chemistry or S1-S2 science, at any level then Chemistry Study Support is the place to get it. One of your happy, smiling chemistry teachers will be available Tuesday 3.30pm-4.30pm in either of A4, A5, or A6 for all your questions, queries and conundrums. You could also simply use this as a quiet place to study, or even get that homework task completed that you’ve been putting off since the dawn of time. All welcome!

The Yearbook + Prom Committee will meet from 3:25 each Wednesday in D9.

School Netball (Mrs Little)
School netball resumes next week for all age groups, where you will have the opportunity to train on a weekly basis and compete in competitive matches against other schools. All school netball is FREE and there are no match fees. S3 – S6 will train on Wednesday night 3:30 – 4:15pm

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray) 📻
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Wednesday. You could be involved. We meet every Wednesday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

Anime and Manga Club (Ms Kelsey)
Anime and Manga club will be on a Wednesday lunchtime in B29.

S2 Football (Mr Pennel)
S2 Football will start on Wednesday after school from 3.25pm to 4.15pm.

S1-3 Study Club (Dr Black)
If you need a place to complete your homework or get some extra practice in come along Wednesdays after school in D10 (3:30 – 4:30)
