Supported Learning has been a hive of learning whether that has been in school, community spaces or sporting activities in different venues. Our 1st years have also ventured to their desert islands to consider their survival, how they create a utopia and a new society. In SLD2 Science there was much investigation of friction and forces which involved a high heel catwalk for some and there was significant competition amongst staff when they heard this class were on a height survey as part of their Measurement learning. More high heels may have been worn this day.
The whole department were invited to come together and participate in the Supported Learning Department Scottish Cup which was organised entirely by one of our S2 pupils. This young person has issued planning communications, managerial advices, been the logistics coordinator, strategies coach and one of the best motivational speakers and commentators I have ever heard. We had players across the year groups form teams and a video of the winning team is being uploaded to our Socials. We are super proud of your efforts and skills Jamie, a fantastic event enjoyed by all!
Have a fantastic, safe October break.
