UCAS Sign Up (Mrs Kendrick)
Thursday 3rd October Period 1 is UCAS sign up for all those in S5 and S6 applying to UCAS this year with a January deadline. Learners will be supported by their guidance teachers and should report to:
D10 – Adam Smith
D11 – Oswald
Library – Carlyle
Learners will be back in class for period 2.

Dress Down Day (Dr. Murray)
Friday will be a dress down day in aid of the Kirkcaldy Foodbank. The usual rules apply – no football colours, and be sensible about keeping your clothing “school appropriate”. Please give £1 during period 1, or whatever you can afford. Dress to impress!

Lost Property (Mrs Ross)
We have a large selection of lost property at Reception. Please feel free to come along and check for any missing items. Anything unclaimed before end of term will be donated to a local charity shop.

S5/S6 EMA Applications 2024/25 (Mrs Cook)
EMA Applications Forms can now only be accessed and completed online at www.fife.gov.uk/ema If successful an EMA Learning Agreement will be posted out to your home address. Please complete form and return to Mrs Cook in the school office.  If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after the 4th October 2024 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received.  Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

TODAYS STANDING NOTICE

Chess Club (Dr Black)
Chess club runs Thursday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand master’s welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.

Together We Can Group (Miss Johnston)
Together We Can group is on after school, Thursdays in the PE department from 3:30-4:15

Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Thursday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. See Dr Murray for a pass. Bring you lunch!

FRIDAY 04 OCTOBER

Hot Meal:  Soup of the day, BBQ Chicken Fillet in a bun served with Oven Roasted Diced Potatoes or Pasta King Pomodoro Sauce served with Pasta & Garlic Bread.
