Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Chicken Curry Slice served with Oven Roasted Diced Potatoes or Pasta King Pomodoro Sauce with Pasta & Garlic Bread.

Staff/Pupil Toilets (Mr McKay)
A reminder to learners that the toilets in the staffroom, and those designated as ‘staff only’ are for adult use only. There are a many toilets that young people can use: B block toilets, those at drama, single use toilets across the school, those at DET and PE departments are all in use during the school day. Those in the Quad, between Science and the main building are for use at break and lunch. Thank you for your support.

Senior Football (Mr Caldwell)
S 4,5,6 – Senior Football – Meeting today at break time for anyone who wants to play in Tuesdays match against Baldragon.

S3 Battlefields Trip 2025 (Mrs Harrower)
Any S3 pupil interested in going on the WW1 Battlefields Trip to Belgium and France in May 2025 and did not collect a letter on Wednesday, should collect a letter today from Mrs Harrower in room C2.

Supported Learning Scottish Cup (Mrs Fotheringham)
On Tuesday 1st October, Periods 6 & 7, supported learning will be running a Scottish Cup football tournament. This is for anyone who is in any supported learning class/C20. If you would like to play in a team please email either Mrs Fotheringham (francesca.fotheringham@fife.gov.uk) or the active school coordinator (kate.crawford@fife.gov.uk). Specific teams will be decided on the day, so there is no need to already be part of a team – just your enthusiasm for football!

IMPORTANT – Instrumental Lessons (Mrs Simpson)
ALL pupils are responsible for attending their music lesson on time. Tutors will not be collecting pupils from class. Please make sure that you try and reach the side door of Techy before the doors lock. If they do lock, make your way quickly through the canteen and wait until these doors open. Timetables are on your TEAM page as well as in the Music Department. Please take a photo on your phone if you need to and set a reminder. If you have forgotten your instrument or music, you MUST still come to your lesson. Any issues please speak to a member of the music department.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Due to a primary school Netball event, Badminton Club will be cancelled afterschool on Monday.

Maths Week Scotland Photography Competition (Mrs Christie)
Maths is part of our daily life, have you ever thought about it? The home, exercise route, daily dog walks and the weekly shop turned into a playground… this is your chance to get creative and make mathematical connections!
Submit your photos with the maths inside sticker on them to enter the competition. You can enter up to three photos, one per category. Entries will be accepted from Sunday 1st September until 11:59pm on Monday 30th September 2024, with an online prize ceremony at 11am on Saturday 2nd November.  The two categories are:

  • Maths in the wild
  • The ‘why’ of shapes.

University of Edinburgh Engineering Talks (Dr. Murray)
Are you curious about studying Engineering at Edinburgh? If you enjoy solving problems and being part of a team, are interested in how things work and like science and maths, then a degree in Engineering could be for you! Join the online interactive sessions starting 23rd September. This is your chance to:

  • talk with academics, students and recent graduates
  • learn about the programmes and opportunities open to you
  • get answers to all your questions

S1-S3 Japanese Visitors (Mrs Morris)
Attention all S1-S3 we are hosting Japanese visitors on Friday 27th September if you wish to come along, please scan the QR code below to register your interest by Friday 20th September. A list of invited pupils will be displayed outside Mrs Morris room C9 on Tuesday 24th September, and will also be included in the bulletin.

S5/S6 EMA Applications 2024/25 (Mrs Cook)
EMA Applications Forms can now only be accessed and completed online at www.fife.gov.uk/ema If successful an EMA Learning Agreement will be posted out to your home address. Please complete form and return to Mrs Cook in the school office.  If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after the 4th October 2024 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received.  Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Johnston)
Mental Health Ambassadors meeting in B15 at Lunchtime.

Rights Respecting Schools Group and Ambassadors (Miss Young)
Can all existing members and anyone keen to join come along to B14 and anyone who expressed interest in being an ambassador. The meeting will be about new projects coming up this year as well as discussing membership, badges and choice of meeting days. (feel free to bring lunch).

Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes)
If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Monday lunchtime.

S1-S6 Basketball (Mr Stewart)
I’ll be running Basketball for all year groups on a Monday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Japanese Club (Mrs Morris)
Japanese club will return on a Monday lunch time in C9 with Mrs Morris. Come along with your lunch and learn about the Japanese culture and language.  Help us to prepare to host Japanese visitors in our school on Friday 27th September.
