Very early walk up call this morning and the final write up for our young people. They have been writing down their thoughts every night and this morning, they had to try and summarise their experience. We can’t wait to have a look at these when we are back at KHS!

For now, we have set off from the accommodation and on our way to Dunkirk. Our aim is to catch the 10:00 ferry. Will keep you posted as our journey progresses.

Just arrived in Dover! ⛴️

You’ll be glad to know that we left with 31 and will be returning with 31… mission accomplished! 👏👍 Having said this, it’s fair to say that they are all coming back changed individuals in some way after experiencing this ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity.

The long drive back to Scotland has now commenced. We will update you when we are about an hour away from KHS but we will also be encouraging the young people to keep all the parents/carers updated as well just in case of any traffic etc.

We will be making several stops on the way for our young people to get something to eat and to use the toilet. See you all soon 😄

PS. The next update will be once we have cleared the London area. we will then hopefully provide an estimated arrival time for KHS! 👍

We have just stopped for a toilet break at Wetherby. Our next stop is Gretna for a dinner stop. We hope to arrive at KHS about 11pm roughly – all things going good.

Our final update will be when we about an hour away, when I will be able to provide a more accurate arrival time.

All young people are still in good spirits 😀👍

ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME AT KHS: 11pm. Please wait for your young person to come to you – we will take the cases of the bus and ensure every pupil has their passport etc before they leave. Please give us room to do this.
