Madrid Trip 2025 (Mr Spink)
If you have put your name down for the Madrid Trip in June 2025, can you please attend a quick meeting at interval (10:25), today, in C14. It is very important!

Senior Girls’ Football Meeting (Mrs Steedman)
Can all those interested in playing in a league tournament next Wednesday after school, please attend a meeting at break today outside the PE classroom.

S1 Football (Mr Pennel)
Any footballers who would like to be selected for an upcoming football match, please attend a meeting today at break in the boys’ gym.

Music Practice Rooms (Mrs Duckett)
Music Practice Rooms are for senior pupils (S4-6) ONLY at break and lunchtimes. ALL pupils using practice rooms at these times must sign-in in E11. No food or socialising without exception. These rooms are for practising instruments only. Thank you.

Practical Woodwork, Practical Metalwork and Design & Manufacture Models (Mr Fulton)
Can all pupils who have still to collect a model manufactured as part of their final assignment for these courses last year please come and collect it from the Design & Technology department before Friday 8 March. Any models that remain unclaimed after this date will be recycled.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week Events (Mr McCowan)
Attention S4-S6’s! Looking for an apprenticeship for after your time at KHS? Scottish Apprenticeship Week, run by Skills Development Scotland, are running an apprenticeship event in March at:

  • Carnegie Conference Centre, Dunfermline – Tuesday 5 March 2024, 6pm-8pm

The session at Auchmucty High School has been cancelled.

The Dunfermline event will have lots of information and opportunities for pupils/parents/carers to find out about:

  • Modern Apprenticeships
  • Foundation Apprenticeships
  • Graduate Apprenticeships

Babcock International Engineering Apprenticeships (Mr McCowan)
Are you interested in working to maintain the Royal Navy’s fleet of warships? Getting paid to study and learn a trade? Babcock International, based at Rosyth are currently advertising for 2 apprenticeships in:

Engineering Trades (Welding/Mechanical & Electrical Fitting/Fabricating/Machining/Pipefitting)

They are hosting a virtual careers fair on Thursday 7 March from 5.30pm until 7pm to discuss all the apprentice opportunities they have available across Scotland.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray)
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Saturday morning. You could be involved, even if you’re never available on a Saturday! We meet every Friday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

KHS D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) Group (Dr Murray/Miss Collins)
The KHS D&D Group meets in D2 (Home Ec) every Friday after school. Take part in exciting adventures and storytelling. It’s all up to the fate of the dice!

Chess Club (Dr Black)
Chess club runs Monday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand masters welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.

Anime and Manga Club (Miss Kelsey)
Anybody interesting in watching, drawing, and/or reading anime and manga, can now attend the anime and manga club every Monday lunchtime in B29.

Basketball & Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Basketball and Badminton clubs will run on Monday afterschool in the Games Hall from 3:15-4:15pm. All pupils in S1-S6 welcome.

S6 Yearbook (Miss Lipton)
The Yearbook Committee will meet Monday’s after school in D9 from 3:15pm.

S4-S6 Study Support for Classical Studies (Mrs Brown)
A reminder this is on 3:15-4:15pm for all N5 pupils and Highers pupils.
