Assemblies (Mr McKay)
There will be welcome back assemblies for all year groups today. Please go to class first to be registered and your teacher will then take the class to the Assembly Hall. Assemblies will take place at the following times:

P1 – S1
P2 – S4
P3 – S3
P4 – S2
P5 – S5/6

S1 Netball (Miss Kirkwood)
Could the S1 Netball team please meet outside the PE classroom today at break time about an upcoming match.

S1 First Chances (Mr Geissler)
Could any S1 pupils that are involved with First Chances please collect a permission slip from Mr Geissler ASAP. Slips need to be returned by next Wednesday (10th January) at the latest.

Public Speaking Competition – S2 and S3 PUPILS ONLY (Mrs Harrower)
Are you interested in debating and public speaking? I am looking for any S2 or S3 pupils who would like to take part in the Public Speaking Competition 2024. This is against other schools in Fife and then if successful, you can progress to the National final, held at the Parliament in Edinburgh!! See Mrs Harrower in B17/Inclusion Hub if interested as soon as possible.

Christmas Concert (Mrs Duckett)
Congratulations to all the musicians who performed in the Christmas concert 2023! Please collect a certificate of participation from Mrs Duckett in the music department.

Fife Festival of Music (Mrs Duckett)
Please could all soloists who have been entered into the Fife Festival of Music return their reply slips to the music department as soon as possible. Make sure your programmes are performance ready! See Mrs Duckett if you have any questions, thanks.

Fife Festival of Music (Mrs Duckett)
Glee Choir, Wind Band, String Ensemble, Guitar Club are all performing at Fife Festival of Music 2024! If you attend these groups, please collect a letter with information and permission slips from Mrs Duckett on Monday.

Have Lunch with a Hero! (Classics Film Club)
By popular request – it’s the hero Hercules (again!) See Mrs Brown for a pass and bring your lunch to C11 if you’d like to watch this Disney classic at lunch on Friday.

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray)
We present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Saturday morning. You could be involved, even if you’re never available on a Saturday! We meet every Friday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch/building pass.

KHS D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) Group (Dr Murray/Miss Collins)
The KHS D&D Group meets in D2 (Home Ec) every Friday after school. Take part in exciting adventures and storytelling. It’s all up to the fate of the dice!

MONDAY 8 JANUARY

Chess Club (Dr Black)
Chess club runs Monday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Beginners to Grand masters welcome. Collect a lunchtime pass from Dr Black if you would like to come along.

Anime and Manga Club (Miss Kelsey)
Anybody interesting in watching, drawing, and/or reading anime and manga, can now attend the anime and manga club every Monday lunchtime in B29.

Basketball & Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Basketball and Badminton clubs will start on Monday afterschool in the games hall from 3:15-4:15pm. All pupils in S1-S6 welcome.

S1&2 Girls Football (Mrs Steedman)
Training will begin on Monday 3:30-4:15pm. Absolutely anyone is welcome! Make sure you bring a change of kit with you!

S6 Yearbook (Miss Lipton)
The Yearbook Committee will meet Monday’s after school in D9 from 3:15pm.
