Young Carers Lunch Time Catch Up (Mrs Donaldson)

U14 Boys Football (Mr Mooney)
U14 Boys Football is on tonight after school. The squad for tomorrows match against Dunfermline High School is up on the door of B25.

Miss Nessel’s N5/H/AH Business Class (Miss Nessel)
Please attend Miss Nessel’s classroom P5 on Tuesday 28 November. We have a guest speaker coming to deliver a workshop on Economics. Your teachers are aware of this event.

12 Days of Science at Christmas (Miss Irvine)
If you are in S1/S2 and are interested in STEM please come along to our Christmas themed Science lunch club every Tuesday lunchtime starting from Tuesday 28 November in A1 up until the Christmas holidays. You will get the chance to carry out mini experiments whilst learning new skills and about careers in STEM. Please collect a lunchtime pass from Miss Irvine in A1 if you would like to come along, passes are on a first come first served basis.

S2 Netball (Mrs Little)
S2 netball will now run on Wednesday after school instead of Tuesday due to some S2 playing with the S3’s.

Dance Club (Miss Kirkwood)
Dance club is cancelled this week due to a Netball match, it will resume next week.

Careers Fayre (Mrs Davidson)
Our Careers Fayre on Tuesday afternoon/evening. There will be representation from University/College/Employers and SDS. Our S4-6 pupils will attend for 20mins during Pd 6/7 and then they can return with parents/carers from 4-6pm. Pupils at college can attend from 4-6pm. Other schools can also attend 4-6pm.

Please note the following and bring your class to the assembly hall promptly (leave bags and coats in classrooms):

S3 STEM Speed Dating (Dr Murray)
On Wednesday 29 November as part of our Employability week, we will be hosting 20-30 ambassadors from a number of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) fields. They will be stationed around the hall with groups of folk in S3 given 5 minutes to “grill” them on their lives and careers. It’s always loads of fun and a great opportunity to find out about STEM-related jobs and what they actually entail day to day. Don’t worry, you’ll be given “prompt” questions to help you out if you can’t think of anything to ask. The split in the S3 year group is…

S1-3 Young STEM Leaders (Miss Tennant)
Come along to A7 on Wednesday at 12:15pm to take part in the Air Race Challenge. Become a Young STEM Leader through this fun and creative 12 week project. Ask Miss Tennant for more information and a lunchtime pass.

Christmas Music at ASDA (Mrs Duckett)
Musicians performing this Friday! Thank you for returning reply slips. We will meet in Mr Wilkie’s room (E13) at breaktime on Friday. Please remember all your instruments and Santa hats, tinsel etc! See Mrs Duckett if you have any questions.

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray)
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!

Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones)
Are you good at maths? Would you like to represent the school in maths competitions? All S1-S4’s are welcome to come Enterprising Maths Club, every Tuesday lunchtime in C3.

KHS Glee Choir (Mrs Duckett & Mr Wilkie)
KHS Glee Choir with Mrs Duckett and Mr Wilkie begins today after school, 3:15pm – 4:15pm in E10. No auditions, anyone who is interested in trying out singing in a show choir is welcome! Songs from all musicals – Disney, Rock, Juke-Box, Book, Class covered! Please see Mrs Duckett for more information.
