S4 Pupils on the Pre Apprenticeship CourseWe (12 boys from S4) have currently been going to one of the Fife college campuses in Dunfermline to take part in a pre-apprenticeship course every Wednesday. This includes carpentry and bench joining, brick work and painting and decorating. We are also undertaking a number of academic qualifications which culminate in an outdoor project which will potentially benefit the school community.

As a participant I am enjoying this course a lot as I am with my friends, it’s a lot more mature than school and it gives me the responsibility to act more like an adult.
