TUESDAY 29 AUGUST

Hot Meal: Lentil soup, Pork or vegan sausages with chips.

Astro (Mr Farquharson)
The Astro is now closed to all pupils at social times. There will be prefects and staff stopping you get into the astro through the hole in the fence. Anyone wishing to play football can do so on the grass.

History Krakow Trip June 2024 (Miss Dalziel & Mrs Harrower)
Any pupils in S4 and S5 who are interested in coming on the trip next June but missed the meeting on Friday, should come and collect an information letter at the start of this week from myself or Mrs Harrower.

S2 Football (Mr Mooney)
S2 football will run today after school.

Paris Trip Meeting (Mrs Morris/Miss Coggill)
Can all pupils who are going on the Paris trip, please attend an essential meeting today at 1:15pm in C9. Can any pupils who are unable to attend ensure that they make either Miss Coggill or Mrs Morris aware.

S6 Yearbook Committee (Miss Lipton)
For all those S6 who had shown an interest in being part of this years Yearbook Committee or any other S6 who would like to be involved – there will be a meeting today at 1:15pm in D9 Business. If you can’t make it but still want to be involved see Miss Lipton to be added to the team.

S1&2 Learn to Play Flute (Ms Clark)
Any pupils who would like to learn to play the flute please come and see Ms Clark in E12 on Wednesday 30 August at breaktime for more information. See you there!

S5/S6 EMA (Mrs Cook)
If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement form to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after 30 September 2023 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

Can all S6 Leavers please ensure they’ve ordered & paid for their Hoodies by Friday 29 September. The cost is £20 – please remember to fill in the form with your choices.

TODAYS STANDING NOTICES

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray)
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!

Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones)
Are you good at maths? Would you like to represent the school in maths competitions? All S1-S4’s are welcome to come Enterprising Maths Club, every Tuesday lunchtime in C3.

KHS Glee Club (Mrs Duckett)
KHS Glee Club with Mrs Duckett and Mr Wilkie begins today after school, 3:15pm – 4:15pm in E10. No auditions, anyone who is interested in trying out singing in a show choir is welcome! Songs from all musicals – Disney, Rock, Juke-Box, Book, Class covered! Please see Mrs Duckett for more information.

National 5 Maths/Apps Study Support (Mr Jones)
Pop along to ask questions, get help with homework or just have a quiet space to study. Every Wednesday lunchtime in C3.

Rights Respecting Schools Group & Ambassadors (Ms Young)
Wednesday in B14 at 1:15pm. It’s a really enthusiastic group who fight for and promote the rights of others, both across the school and in the wider world and community. Can all members attend as well as all pupils who put down their names to become Rights Ambassadors. You can collect a lunch pass from me any time before next Wednesday to give you permission to be in school during lunch.

Equality Group (Dr Murray)
The KHS Equality Group meets every Wednesday lunchtime in A4. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of equality is welcome whether it be age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. See Dr Murray for a pass. Bring you lunch!
