Eid Celebration – the food, the cook, the legend! (Mrs McMahon)
Thank you to all the pupils and staff who attended the Eid Celebration on Wednesday 3 May. It was a huge success! S3 Duke of Edinburgh Event at Dynamic Earth (Miss Wallace)
Reminder of an upcoming DofE Scotland Youth Without Limits LIVE: Beyond the CV event which will be taking place at Dynamic Earth Edinburgh, on Tuesday 23 May 2023. Please hand in asap or collect a consent form from B10 or your DofE leader and return.

Girls’ Rugby (C McMahon)
Girl’s rugby starts this week. Meet Thursday after school 3:30pm at PE. Wear PE kit for outdoors and astro shoes if you have them. If you are interested but unsure, sign up to our Girls’ Rugby Team to find out more about it.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
A lot of pupils will be looking to gain some work experience, this is a great opportunity to give you a flavour of the world of work and ‘try out’ a profession. If this is something, you are interested in there is a form to complete on the Padlet. There is also a great opportunity for any S5 pupils who are looking to study medicine. For anyone looking to leave school there are a number of vacancies including – apprenticeships in Admin, at Scotrail, Exxon, Babcock and Sky Television advertised. As well as a range of part and full time jobs.

Speak to Mrs Whyte if you require any help with applications, finding jobs or want some work experience.

Piano and Upper Strings Lessons (Mrs Simpson)
Lessons are on today in the Music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board.

S2-S3 Music Lunch Club (Mrs Duckett)
This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.

String Group (Mrs Simpson)
The String Group will take place on Thursday lunchtime in E13.

Calm Colouring Lunch Club (Ms Geddes/Miss Millar)
If you would like a calm space to have lunch and do a bit of colouring, with the option to chat through any questions with our Mental Health Ambassadors, then this is the club for you! Head along to A3 (Science) where Miss Millar and Ms Geddes will have all the resources you need to chill out and recharge for the afternoon ahead. Today from 1:10pm.

S1 & S2 Netball (Mrs Steedman)
Training will be afterschool every Thursday starting this week from 3:30-4:15pm.

FRIDAY 5 MAY

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Breaded fish or Salmon fish fingers and chips or Italian pasta.

Woodwind and Brass Lessons (Mrs Simpson)
Lessons are on today in the Music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board.

S2-S3 Music Lunch Club (Mrs Duckett)
This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.

Card Club (Mrs Rae)
Come along to the PSO base at lunchtime to play various card games and make new friends. Maybe your friends are off, and you have nowhere to go or you see yourself as a real “card shark” all are very welcome!

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
The Wind Band will take place on Friday lunchtime in E13/Dance Studio.

Health Zone Drop In (Mrs Davidson)
Every Friday lunchtime, the school nurse team run a confidential drop in session. They are situated behind the careers room opposite the main office.

S1 Reading Group (Miss Britton)
S1 Reading Group during Friday lunchtimes in room B23. It’s a chance to practice reading out loud.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
Perseus vs Hades – the rematch! All are welcome to come and see Wrath of the Titans at Classics Film club, in C11. Bring your lunch.
