Senior Netball (Miss Kirkwood)
Could all those interested in taking part in the Fife Schools Netball Tournament next Friday 25 November – please attend a short meeting at break today in the Boys’ Gym. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Miss Kirkwood to collect a letter regarding this.

Senior Football (Mr Pennel)
The league game vs Viewforth today is cancelled due to the weather. We’ll have a meeting next week about when it will be rescheduled for.

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
Wind band will take place today at lunchtime this week in the Dance studio. PLEASE remember your instruments and music for this day rather than Friday!

Family Fun Day Volunteers (Mrs Simpson)
There will be a short meeting for all pupils who have volunteered at the Family Fun Day at break time today in the Assembly Hall. Please see Mrs Simpson if you cannot make this.

S1-S2 Futsal World Cup Draw (Mr Greenhorn)
The draw for the WC group stage will take place today at 1:15-1:30pm in the Boys’ Gym. We have 4x groups to create with the following nations taking part: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, South Korea & United States.

Children in Need (S5/S6 Travel & Tourism Class)
On Thursday 17 November we will be holding a dress down day to help support ‘Children in Need’. We would appreciate if everyone could hand in One Pound or whatever you can afford in tutor on the Thursday. There will be Pudsey Merch available to buy, and different games like, ‘Guess Pudsey’s Birthday’ and ‘How Many Balloons in The Mini Bus’. All money raised will be going towards Children in Need.

S4 Parents’/Carers’ Evening – In School – Thursday 24 November – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
The parent/carer on-line booking system is open. Booking closes at 11:55pm on Tuesday 22 November.

Christmas Concert Singers Needed! (Mrs Duckett)
Kirkcaldy High School Choir need singers for the Christmas Concert! If you enjoy singing and want to be part of the friendliest singing group in the world, then join choir! We are very excited about the upcoming Christmas concert. Rehearsals take place after school on Tuesdays with Mrs Duckett in E10. Bring a friend and give singing a go! Noone will be put on the spot, and it is lots of fun!

S1 Panto Trip – 16 December (Mrs Patton & Miss Robertson)
The English department are running a pantomime trip to see Cinderella at Rothes Hall on December 16th for S1 pupils. If you are in S1 and are interested in going to the pantomime to watch this show then please get your parents/carers to fill out a form that will be handed out to you by your English teacher this week, and return it, along with £12.50 to the office. The money can also be paid by cheque or through the iPayimpact system. The trip is on a first come – first serve basis so if you are interested, please return your slip and money as soon as possible.

S6 Yearbook Photos (Miss Lipton & Mrs Czudek)
Attention all S6!! Miss Lipton & Mrs Czudek will be available 22 November during break, lunch and also P5, P6 & P7 to take individual Yearbook photos. Only if you are free at any of these times, please pop along to D9 have these taken.

The S6 group photos are scheduled for Monday 28 November at 10am (weather permitting). Please can everyone make arrangements to be at the front of the school with full school uniform and blazers on for this time.

Also, a reminder to submit any outstanding assignments for the yearbook as soon as possible. Yearbook Committee will be available every Tuesday after school in D9 to support anyone who needs help with these.

Fife Sport & Leisure Trust (Mr Greenhorn)
The Trust have a new ‘National Pool Lifeguard Qualification’ development programme for young people. This FREE offer is open to anyone aged 16 years or over, and they must attend an open session at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre. Participants must complete a water test and a short interview at the open session. Candidates will then be shortlisted and offered the opportunity to go through the normal 5 days of an NPLQ course. On day 6 of the training, they will be given additional core skills to become lifeguards. If you would be interested in this opportunity, can you, please come see me in my office.

S1-S2 KHS World Cup (Mr Greenhorn)
The Young Ambassadors & Young Leaders are planning an S1-S2 World Cup tournament that will take place between 21 November-16 December. The format for our tournament will be 4-a-side Futsal with teams (nations) playing matches in the Main Games Hall or Boys/Girls Gym. Our proposed World Cup will have up to 16-teams/nations (up to 80-players), with group-stage & knockout rounds being played. If you would like to take part in this competition, please complete our entry form to register your team.

Lost Property at Reception (Mrs Waddell)
Please advise pupils that any lost property handed in this term will be disposed of on the in-service day. There are at least 8 water bottles and as many lovely jackets which have not been collected. Items may be collected from reception.

Discover You – Personality and Career Discovery (Mrs Whyte)
Are you in S4/5/6 and not sure about your future career path? Would you like a help with working out what job might suit you best? We have the opportunity for a group of pupils to attend a 2 part workshop to help discover your personality type and then look at possible careers based on this. To sign up – see Mrs Whyte in C13.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
The Padlet has been updated with more local jobs – lots of local places are taking on Christmas temps. Remember the first place to start with applying for a job is to write a CV. There is a great guide on my World of Work to help with this. Speak to the Careers Advisors if you are not sure about where to start. If you are in S5 and starting to think about applying to University, in particular Edinburgh University – please let Mrs Whyte know as there is a great opportunity coming up!

The String Group will take place on Thursday lunchtime in E13.

Art Club (Mrs Donaldson)
The club will have different projects to take part in such as creating artwork for displays, competitions and seasonal activities. Bring your packed/cold lunch to D15, Art Department 1pm, Thursdays.

S1 & S2 Netball (Mrs Steedman)
Training will be afterschool every Thursday starting this week from 3:30-4:15pm.

S4 Admin & IT Study Support (Mrs Wood)
This starts, Thursday 10 November in Mrs Wood’s room, D10, 3:15-4:15 pm.

Chess club will be running on Monday lunchtimes in A6, 1:10-1:40pm. Grand masters in the making, you can learn how to play if you have not played before.
