Jackets – Lost PE Property (Mr Stewart)
Over the last few weeks we have acquired many Winter jackets that have been left after PE lessons. If you have lost a jacket recently in the school, please come down to the PE dept today or tomorrow to check if your jacket is there.

U16 Football (Mr I’Anson)
There will be a meeting at break in E9 today.

S4 Parents’/Carers’ Evening – In School – Thursday 24 November – PEBS (Mrs Noone)
Instructions will be emailed to Parents’/Carers’ today on how to access the on-line booking system which will go live tonight, Thursday 10 November at 6:00pm. Booking closes at 11:55pm on Tuesday 22 November.

Immunisations (Mrs Waddell)
Immunisation Programme for S3 & S4 is today in the IT Hub. Please ensure you go at the correct time. Check with the office if you need your appointment time.

S3 Practical Cookery – Cooking Demo from Slow Food Scotland (Mrs McMahon)
Mrs McMahon’s class (S37B) and Miss Collins class (S37A) are invited to come along to D2/4 today for period 6 and 7 to watch author and chef, Wendy Barrie, do a Cooking Demo. Please ensure that your timetabled subject teacher has marked you as ‘present’ for period 6 before making your way down to the HE dept.

S4 Admin & IT Study Support (Mrs Wood)
This starts today, Thursday 10 November in Mrs Wood’s room, D10, 3:15-4:15 pm.

We have had the first delivery of photographs ordered from Tempest Photography. Please ask at reception during interval or lunch if you have ordered a photo.

Discover You – Personality and Career Discovery (Mrs Whyte)
Are you in S4/5/6 and not sure about your future career path? Would you like a help with working out what job might suit you best? We have the opportunity for a group of pupils to attend a 2 part workshop to help discover your personality type and then look at possible careers based on this. To sign up – see Mrs Whyte in C13.

RYLA Camp 2023 (J Davidson)
Any S5 pupil interested in finding out more about this fantastic opportunity, please see Mrs Davidson today! The S6 pupils who attended are doing a presentation next week to Rotary and will share this with you this week.

S5 Pupils – Safe Drive, Stay Alive (Mrs Thompson)
All S5 pupils will be attending Safe Drive, Stay Alive on Monday 14 November during periods 6 and 7. At the end of lunch all pupils need to register with their period 6 teacher and then head straight down to the Assembly Hall.

Children in Need (S5/S6 Travel & Tourism Class)
On Thursday 17 November we will be holding a dress down day to help support ‘Children in Need’. We would appreciate if everyone could hand in One Pound or whatever you can afford in tutor on the Thursday. There will be Pudsey Merch available to buy, and different games like, ‘Guess Pudsey’s Birthday’ and ‘How Many Balloons in The Mini Bus’. All money raised will be going towards Children in Need.

Remembrance Day Poppies (Dr Murray)
Every year in the days leading up to Remembrance Day on the 11 November, many people choose to wear poppies as a symbol to remember those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world and those who have been killed as a result of terrorism.  Remembrance Day marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918.  The reason poppies are used to remember those who have given their lives in battle is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended.  If you would like to wear a poppy, they are available from the Prefect Base at reception for free or a small donation if you are able.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
The Padlet has been updated with more local jobs – lots of local places are taking on Christmas temps. Remember the first place to start with applying for a job is to write a CV. There is a great guide on my World of Work to help with this. Speak to the Careers Advisors if you are not sure about where to start. If you are in S5 and starting to think about applying to University, in particular Edinburgh University – please let Mrs Whyte know as there is a great opportunity coming up!

S2-S4 Music Lunch Club (Mrs Duckett)
This now takes place in E10 every day of the week, except Wednesdays.

String Group (Mrs Simpson)
The String Group will take place on Thursday lunchtime in E13.

Art Club (Mrs Donaldson)
The club will have different projects to take part in such as creating artwork for displays, competitions and seasonal activities. Bring your packed/cold lunch to D15, Art Department 1pm, Thursdays.

S1 & S2 Netball (Mrs Steedman)
Training will be afterschool every Thursday starting this week from 3:30-4:15pm.

FRIDAY 11 NOVEMBER

Hot Meal: Soup of the day, Breaded fish or Salmon fish fingers and chips or Italian pasta.

The Wind Band will take place on Friday lunchtime in E13/Dance Studio.

Health Zone Drop In (J Davidson)
Every Friday lunchtime, the school nurse team run a confidential drop in session. They are situated behind the careers room opposite the main office.
