S5 Lift Off (Miss Nessel)
Remember if you got a slip in your tutor folder this week you should come to Miss Nessel’s room (D8) at 10:45am today. You will be out of class for 45 minutes.

S6 Lift Off Session (Mrs Sim)
All S6 should attend a session from Lift Off regarding higher education today, period 4 in the Assembly Hall. Please register with your teacher and then head to the Assembly Hall.

First Chances (Mrs Nessel)
All pupils who wish to continue as part of First Chances must complete the attached registration form by WEDNESDAY. Scan the QR code to complete today:

U16/S4 Football (Mr I’Anson)
There will be a meeting at break today in E9 for anyone interested in playing for the school football team.

LGBT+ Group (LGBT+ Committee)🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
The legendary Kirkcaldy High LGBT+ Group meets at lunchtime TODAY! This group is for anyone of any identity including allies. Dr Murray’s classroom (A4) is the place to be and all are welcome. You can make badges, play with “fidget toys” and chat about any topic with like-minded people.

We are running a competition to re-decorate our LGBT+ noticeboards. You could contribute a picture, a poem, a short story, a poster, or any other creative medium you fancy. You can do these at the LGBT+ Tuesday group meeting or in your own time. Hand your contributions to Dr Murray in A4 – prizes to be won!

S1-S6 Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton Club will be on afterschool today in the Games Hall 3:30-4:15pm. All pupils are welcome.

S1-S6 Basketball Club (Mr Harrower)
Basketball Club will be on afterschool today in the gyms 3:30-4:15pm. All pupils are welcome.

Girls’ Football (Miss Steedman)
All girls interested in playing for the school football team S1-6, please attend a meeting in the Girl’s Gym at break tomorrow (Wednesday). If you cannot attend the meeting, please come and see Mrs Steedman in PE to express your interest.

Fife Shakespeare Festival (Ms Bruce)
The Fife Shakespeare Festival is back and will take place at Fife College in November. This year we will be performing a 30 minute adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. If you’re in S1-S6 and want to take part, the first rehearsal/meeting will take place on Wednesday 3:15-4:15pm in Studio 3 where more information will be shared.

S5-S6 EMA (Mrs Geddes)
If you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring you completed Learning Agreement to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after 30 September 2022 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.

S3-S6 Girls (Mrs Nessel)
If you are interested in Business, Accounting or Finance, we are running a competition where we ask teams of S3/4 and S5/6 girls to investigate companies and decide which ones could become big business in the next few years. You will get to share your findings with industry professionals, and if they like your ideas, you can win vouchers for our school, as well as £250 for each member of the team. You choose your own teams and we can have multiple teams entered. If you want to get involved, come along to an information session on Tuesday 30th to find out more.

Street Theatre at Fife Pride, Saturday 17 September 2022 (Dr Murray)
Fife Pride are working with Surge Scotland to produce some street theatre performance for the Pride on the Saturday 17 September 2022. This is a really exciting opportunity for ANYONE who has an interest in drama and performance. There’s more info on the Fife Pride website. See Dr Murray if you’re interested!

Need help with maths homework? Stuck on something you’ve looked at in lessons?  Come along to the S1-S3 maths support group, every Wednesday lunchtime (1:05-1:40pm). Bring your lunch, bring your questions.
