KHS Talent Show 2022 (Ellie Ness, S6)
The Senior Leadership team are organising a talent show for the last day of term. If you have a hidden talent, then please sign up using the QR code around the school. House Captain Interviews (Miss Hay)
Thank you to all those who completed House Captain applications! Interview times will be outside Mrs Davidson’s office by the end of the day tomorrow. Please make sure you check these at the end of tomorrow. These interviews will all take place next week and successful applicants will be announced next Friday 24 June at lunch. A maximum of 8 applicants will be interviewed from each House – well done everyone on your applications!
Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Hay)

Miss Collins has secured tickets to this years Royal Highland Show on Thursday 23 June. There are 30 spaces available. Letters & more info can be collected from Miss Collins from today! The first 30 pupils who return permission slips and £8.00 (which covers your ticket and bus fair) will get a space.

If you’re looking for opportunities to gain Saltire hours in school, please check the Volunteer Opportunities channel in the Team – there are always teachers, departments & school staff needing a hand! Remember to log your hours at the end of each week for each supervisor through the form on the Team & if you haven’t already signed up make sure you do this ASAP. Duke of Edinburgh – S6 Bronze (Miss Wallace)
For those who have completed their permission slips for the upcoming expedition, there will be a training session to cover expectations for the trip on Wednesday 22 June at 3:20pm for approx. an hour in B10. Please let Miss Wallace know if unable to attend, as outdoor first aid basics and outdoor cooking will be a part of the training.
Stellar Quines Theatre Company (Miss Osborne)

After working together a few weeks ago, Sam and Rachel from Stellar Quines Theatre Company are inviting you to come to a session on Wednesday 22 June at 1:45-3:15pm where we will explore further how you can share and use your voice, thoughts and ideas. LGBT+ Festival Fortnight (Mr Greenhorn)
Active Schools working in partnership with LEAP Sports are delighted to invite any interested pupils to our Festival Fortnight event on Friday 17 June at the Michael Woods Leisure Centre, Glenrothes. Little Shop of Horrors Show Tickets (Mr McPherson)
Tickets for the school show are now available on iPayimpact. Tickets can be purchased by logging into iPayimpact – go to ‘Accounts’ then ‘Shop’. You can then pick up tickets at the school reception. Tickets can also be purchased using cash at the school office in addition to the iPayimpact option. Alternatively you can pick up a ticket on the evening of the show subject to availability.
DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
This week on the Padlet there are Apprenticeships in NHS Fife as a Pharmacy Technicians. If you are thinking of a job in medicine there are also upcoming Medicine Open days at St Andrews and Aberdeen; we have school contacts for other experiences. Lots of local businesses are hiring including B & M, Young Spuds, Lidl and in Care roles. Mrs Whyte is happy to help with finding work placements or helping you look for a positive destination when you leave school. There is lots of help there if you are starting to think about what you want to do when you leave school.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
All are welcome to come along to C11, with their lunch, to see Homer’s classic story about the hero Odysseus on his monster-filled journey back from the Trojan war!

Come to the PSO base either during lunch or after school to collect a bag of sanitary products to take home. At Kirkcaldy High we believe no person should have to pay for these products so save your money to treat yourself and come and get them for free at the PSO base, as well as a range of other hygiene products.
