Templehall Library visit (Mr Broadway)

S1 & S2 Girls’ Football (Miss Steedman)
All girls involved in the tournament tomorrow can you please attend a meeting at break time today outside the PE classroom.

2023 Battlefields Trip (Mr Harrower)
There will be a short meeting in B17 at interval today for those going on the 2023 Battlefields Trip. Attendance is essential.

YPI Final (Ms Mahr)
Could all groups presenting in tomorrow’s YPI Final please attend a short meeting at break today in C12.

S3-S5 Netball (Miss Kirkwood)
If you are interested in the Fife District Trials that are being ran by Netball Scotland in the coming weeks or would like to find out more about them, please attend a meeting tomorrow (9th of June) in the Girls’ Gym.

Fife Schools Athletics (Miss Kirkwood)
If you attended the first meeting about the Fife Athletics Event taking place at Pitreavie could you please check the notice board in P.E to check if your name is on the sheet and then collect a letter regarding the trip at break time today (8 June) from the P.E classroom.

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft club on lunchtime Thursday is not on this week. Homework club on Thursday on as normal.

Little Shop of Horrors Non-Acting Jobs (LSOH Team)

Supported Learning Netbooks (Mrs Lindsay)
Do you use a Netbook from Supported Learning? Do you wish to continue to use a device next year? If so you must see Mrs Lindsay or any member of staff in Supported Learning by Friday 10 June at the latest. If you do not contact Supported Learning by this date then a device will not be ready for you for the return to school in August.

#KitForAll Project (Mr Greenhorn)
KHS are taking part in SportScotland’s #KitforAll project. This campaign encourages individuals and families to donate any recycled/pre-loved sports kit or equipment for those who need it most. We will be accepting donations from Wednesday 8 June, until Wednesday 22 June. Please keep an eye out for more updates this week on #KitForAll.

S1-S6 Young Leadership in Sport (Mr Greenhorn)
Applications are now open for S1-S4 Young Leader & S5 Young Ambassador roles with Active Schools. There are limited spaces available for each programme, but I would encourage anyone interested in applying to please do so before the deadline (Friday 17 June). There will be interviews for each role with appointments being made near the end of the term. Apply here

Come & Try’ Disc Golf Event (Mr Greenhorn)
Cluny Clays have offered 16 spaces for any interested Kirkcaldy High School pupils to take part in 9-hole disc golf on Thursday 9 June, 4:00-6:00pm. ‘Disc Golf’ is played like traditional golf. Instead of hitting a ball with a club, players throw a Disc, think Frisbee. To complete a hole, it’s not a ball into a cup, it’s a disc into a basket. If you’re interested and would like to take part, please complete the form and I’ll be in touch to confirm your space.

STEM Virtual Work Experience (Miss Tennant)
Join EDT and Network Rail for a Virtual Work Experience exploring careers and pathways in STEM. This opportunity is for Fife pupils aged 14-18. On completion you will gain an industry-accredited Silver Industrial Cadets Award. See Miss Tennant in A7 for more information.

LGBT+ Groups Disco (Dr Murray)
The combined Fife Schools LGBT+ Groups are having a disco on Sunday 19 June 12:00pm – 2:00pm. We’ll be taking the minibus from KHS – it’s FREE and ANYONE is welcome. If you fancy coming along see Dr Murray in A4 for a permission form!

Little Shop of Horrors Show Tickets (Mr McPherson)
Tickets for the school show are now available on iPayimpact. Tickets can be purchased by logging into iPayimpact – go to ‘Accounts’ then ‘Shop’. You can then pick up tickets at the school reception. Tickets can also be purchased using cash at the school office in addition to the iPayimpact option. Alternatively you can pick up a ticket on the evening of the show subject to availability.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
This week on the Padlet there are Apprenticeships in NHS Fife as a Pharmacy Technicians. If you are thinking of a job in medicine there are also upcoming Medicine Open days at St Andrews and Aberdeen; we have school contacts for other experiences. Lots of local businesses are hiring including B & M, Young Spuds, Lidl and in Care roles. Mrs Whyte is happy to help with finding work placements or helping you look for a positive destination when you leave school. There is lots of help there if you are starting to think about what you want to do when you leave school.

Maths homework club with Mr Jones will run weekly every Wednesday lunchtime (1:15-1:40pm) for pupils in S1 to S3. Grab your lunch first and come along to C3 for homework support.

Equalities Group (Ms Mahr)
Come along and meet the Equalities Group on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1pm (bring your lunch) in C12!  Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you all!

Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!

Calm Colouring (Mrs Dempsey)
Every Thursday (at lunchtime) in A18. Bring your own mindful colouring books or borrow from my collection. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Rugby (Mr Greenhorn)
Thursday after school from 3:30-4:30pm on the school Astro pitch. This new club is open to all year groups and is being run in partnership with Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. Please bring warm gear and report to the PE dept.
