Astroturf during Study Leave (Mr Stewart)
The Astroturf will only be open for PE classes during study leave. Pupils who are on study leave are not permitted to use the Astro during the school day. The Astro will be locked when not in use by the PE department.

Lost Property in PE (Mr Stewart)
There has been a huge amount of lost property collected in the PE department last term. If you have lost something, please ask one of the PE staff to check this week as all clothing left will be given to charity next week.

Our Girls’ Can (Miss Hay)
Our Girls Can will start back tomorrow after school. Please meet in B6 at 3:15pm.

Biology Study Support (Mrs Dempsey)
Study support for Biology this week is on Thursday lunch in A18 or after school in A18.

DYW Padlet (Mrs Whyte)
Check out the DYW Padlet for information on Part Time Jobs as well as opportunities for those wishing to leave school including apprenticeships and Full Time Roles! S2 Pupils – First Chances (Mrs Nessel)
If you would be interested in joining the First Chances programme with St Andrews University in S3, please fill in the form via QR code to apply. In the programme you get to take part in trips to University and College, including over night residential stays. They also support you with free tutoring and help with school work from S3-S6. You can also apply for special funding for University/college when you leave school if you are part of the programme. Apply before Wednesday 27 April.

Prom 2022 (Mr Fulton)
Can all S6 who are attending the prom please make sure they have done the following by the end of the week:

Paid £40 for your ticket
Read the contract, shared it with your parents and returned it using the QR code at the prefect base.

Failure to do both of these tasks will result in you not being allowed to attend. Please make myself, Mrs Hardie or Mr I’Anson aware if you are having difficulty paying before Friday. Thank you.

House Point Questionnaire (Mr Spink)
Can all pupils please make sure they have completed the House Point Questionnaire this week, if they have not already done so? S4-6, it is imperative that you do this before you leave on Friday, it only takes a couple of minutes! Remember, you can access it through the QR code here, or use the ones dotted throughout the building. The current response count is 176 (around 13% of school roll), so let’s see if we can get this higher.

S1-S2 Rwandan African Tea Tasting Session (Mrs McMahon)
Any pupil who wishes to come along to a presentation from David Gasana and a demonstration of how to make Rwandan African Tea (and then drink it) should come along to D2/4 Home Economics to see Mrs McMahon. The session will take place Period 2 on Friday 29 April.   First come first served, 20 pupils max.

The Tilda Street Food Challenge 2022! (Miss Collins)
FDF Scotland have teamed up with Tilda rice to challenge pupils from S1 to S3 to research, design and market a rice based street food dish, based on Tilda ambient rice.

What’s involved?
• Work independently or in groups of up to 3
• Investigate what types of dishes might appeal to young people your age
• Channel your inner chef to design a new street food dish
• Design a marketing campaign to accompany the product
• Research the process of growing, harvesting and producing rice, and it’s economic and health importance across the globe
• Think how the dish can be made sustainable
• Include nutritional information and highlight any allergens

Entries to be submitted by 21 May 2022. (All information is on teams). Please see Miss Collins if you would like to use the school kitchen (after school) to work with your team.

Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!

Calm Colouring (Mrs Dempsey)
Every Thursday (at lunchtime) in A18. Bring your own mindful colouring books or borrow from my collection. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Chemistry Study Support (Dr Black)
Chemistry Study Support is on 3:15-4:15pm in A6. All levels welcome – bring your problems and have them sorted!

S1-S3 netball will run on Thursday after school from 3:30-4:15pm.

Rugby (Mr Stewart)
Thursday after school from 3:15-4.15pm on the school Astro pitch. This new club is open to all year groups and is being run in partnership with Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. Please bring warm gear and report to the PE dept.

Health Zone (School Nurse)
You can access the confidential drop in service for any reason at all, including support with sexual health and contraception. The nurses also offer mental health support and will “signpost” to other services. This will run today at lunchtime behind Community Use.

Little Shop of Horrors (Ms McMahon)
Puppet making for the Little Shop of Horrors will run at lunchtime in B3.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
All are welcome to come along to C11, with their lunch, to see Homer’s classic story about the hero Odysseus on his monster-filled journey back from the Trojan war!
