THURSDAY 24 MARCH

Assembly: Carlyle

Astroturf Closed (S Young)
The Astroturf will be closed today due to food and litter being left by pupils. The state of the Astroturf has been a disgrace.

Main Lunch Meals (Kitchen)
There will be no main meals today due to kitchen staff absences. There will still be pizzas, paninis, wraps, burgers etc and fish and chips will still be available on Friday.

Senior Football (Mr English)
All boys involved must attend a meeting in the Girls’ Gym today at break.

S1 Football (Mr Pennel)
Could all those who would like to be considered for the upcoming game against Musselburgh please attend a meeting today at break in B2.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Dr Murray)
There are a couple of places left to see this at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh on Thursday 31 March in the afternoon. It’s free. If you’re interested then see Dr Murray in A4.

Junior Science Club: S1 & S2 (Hanna and Hassan, S5)
Science club is on at Thursday lunchtime in A5 for both group A and group B as well as anyone else who would like to participate. Please arrive on time for 1:15 to have enough time to complete the experiment.

Library Closed & S6 Register (J Davidson)
The Library will be closed all week including break and lunch. S6 who usually register with Mr Kirkcaldy, please go to the office to sign in.

Outdoor Servery/Cafe (Mrs Hardie)
The outdoor servery/cafe will be closed until the end of term.

Mothers’ Day Plant Sale (Mrs Gannon) 
Cacti, succulents and plants for the garden will be on sale. Tomato plants too! This will help to raise money for the Serenity Garden. Polycrub in the Quad on Friday lunchtime.

Saltire Awards (Miss Lipton)
Can all S5/6 please ensure all voluntary hours are logged through the Saltire team form before the Easter break to allow for the certificates to be processed. See Miss Lipton in D9 if there are any issues or you want to check your hours logged so far.

S6 Prom Payments (Mr Fulton)
Please make sure that you have paid the full £40 cost of prom BEFORE the end of term using iPayimpact. Please contact the school office if you need to set up an account. If you are having trouble making this payment, you can speak to Mr Fulton, Mr I’Anson or Mrs Hardie for advice. A spreadsheet detailing how much everyone still has to pay will be placed on the counter at the prefect base. Make sure you check this before making any further payments.

If you have not made any payments before the holidays, it will be assumed you do not wish to attend prom and you will not be allocated a place. Thank you.

S4-S6 First Chances Pupils (Miss Nessel)
Pupils have been emailed links to register for Summer Schools. Please complete these forms by 31 March. They have also been pasted in your relevant year group Teams. S5 also need to complete the subject choice form, which has also been pasted into your year group team.

Summer Music School – Free Places Available (Dr Murray)
Thanks to a generous benefactor, I have 2 free places at Tinto Summer Music School available.  It’s folk/traditional music focussed but you don’t need any experience and all instruments/abilities are welcome.  Find out more on the Tinto Website and come by A4 if you’re interested!

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Kirsty Brown, S6)
Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!

Calm Colouring (Mrs Dempsey)
Every Thursday (at lunchtime) in A18. Bring your own mindful colouring books or borrow from my collection. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Chemistry Study Support (Dr Black)
Chemistry Study Support is on 3:15-4:15pm in A6. All levels welcome – bring your problems and have them sorted!

S1-S3 Netball (Miss Steedman)
S1-S3 netball will run on Thursday after school from 3:30-4:15pm.

Rugby (Mr Stewart)
Thursday after school from 3:15-4.15pm on the school Astro pitch. This new club is open to all year groups and is being run in partnership with Kirkcaldy Rugby Club. Please bring warm gear and report to the PE dept.

FRIDAY 25 MARCH

Hot Meal: Vegetable soup, Breaded fish or salmon fish fingers, chips, peas or beans or Vegetable chilli, rice and salad.

Wind Band (Mrs Simpson)
Wind Band will run on Friday at lunchtime.

Health Zone (School Nurse)
You can access the confidential drop in service for any reason at all, including support with sexual health and contraception. The nurses also offer mental health support and will “signpost” to other services. This will run today at lunchtime behind Community Use.

Have Lunch with A Hero! (Mrs Brown)
The Rock stars as Hercules in this tale of good vs evil – but it’s not always easy to tell who is who! All are welcome to come along to C11 with their lunch to see this movie.
