Please be reminded that these are not allowed in school. Do not bring deodorant or hair sprays etc to school. Thank you.

Library Closure (Mrs Squires)
The library will be closed to pupils Periods 1 and 2 today. This is for a Primary 7 transition activity.

S6 Oswald (S6 Oswald)
Can all S6 who are in Oswald, please attend a meeting in the IT Hub at break to discuss the leavers assembly.

Music Study Support (Mrs Simpson)
There is study support for all music pupils with SQA exams this week during lunch or after school today and tomorrow. Please come along to E13.

Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Hay)
Our meeting today will be at 1:10pm in B6. Please arrive promptly and feel free to bring your lunch.

U18 Girls’ Football (Miss Steedman)
Reminder that the tournament is today. Come straight to the PE department after school. Any problems please let me know!

S3-S6 Netball (Mrs Little)
S3-S6 netball will take place during lunch tomorrow between 1:15-1:45pm instead of after school. All those who will be doing netball as part of their one-odd performance are invited to attend for extra practice.

June 2023 Trip to Madrid (Mr Spink)
Any pupils in S3-S5 who were unable to go and see Mr Spink on Friday and are interested in going on the Madrid trip, please go and see him in C14 at some point between now and Thursday 10 March for a letter.

Red Nose Day Fundraising (S3 Personal Development Class)
The S3 Personal Development class are doing some fundraising for Red Nose Day 2022, which is on Friday 18 March. We have organised a whole school quiz that will take place on Monday 14 March, and Friday 18 March. Prizes for the winners will include vouchers from McDonald’s, Bob and Bert’s, Subway and Greens. Answer sheets will be given out on the 2 days the quiz is taken place and winners announced the following week. If you wish to take part then you can pay the entry fee of £1 to your tutor teacher on Monday 14 March.

We are also running a raffle for the chance to win a walk with Lexi which will happen period 4 at the end of the week, this raffle is only available to S1 & S2 pupils and tickets can be bought for 50p each, every morning break time Monday-Thursday outside the dinner hall. The winners will be announced on in tutor Friday 18 March and the 12 lucky people will meet in Mr Geissler’s room (B2 Maths corridor) at the start of period 4.

A guess the cupcake competition will also be running at the same time as the raffle. It will be £2 a turn with the winner receiving a prize of £30 cash!

KHS Alumnus goes to South Africa! (Ms Mahr)
Many of you will remember Lauren McDaniel from last year’s S6. She was a fabulous addition to our Rwanda team in 2019 and loved her Rwanda trip so much she’s now going out to do voluntary work in South Africa at the end of this month! Lauren is collecting some useful items to donate to local communities they will be connected to whilst there.

Does anyone have any of the below that you would like to donate:
Second hand football kits
Second hand football boots

Lauren would need to pick these things up Friday 11 March so if you have anything you would like to donate please give it to Ms Mahr in C12 by Friday 11 March at the latest.

Quiz Show Sub-Group (Mr Sanderson)
Can all Senior and Junior House Captains involved in the Quiz Show sub-group with Mr Sanderson, attend a short meeting in B9 on Thursday 10 March at 1:30pm. Any questions or queries please see Mr Sanderson

Please could all S1’s take part in a short survey, just to share everyone’s opinion on sports within the school. Please scan the QR code.

S6 Leavers Hoodies (Gillian Wood, PSO)
I now have samples which are in the PSO base. You can come and try these on before tutor and at the end of the school day. I have extended the deadline for payments and orders to Friday 11 March. Any problems come see me at PSO base.

Sutton Trust Applications – S5 Pupils (Miss Fotheringham)
S5 pupils who are planning on applying to university, you have the opportunity to apply for a week long Sutton Trust Summer School where you will experience student life at one of the UK’s top universities. TODAY’S STANDING NOTICES

LGBT+ Group (LGBT+ Committee)
The legendary and amazing LGBT+ Group meets every Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) for anyone who wants to have a nice place to sit and enjoy their lunch, get to know other people, make badges and make keyrings. EVERYONE and ANYONE is welcome, hope to see you there!

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft Club is on after school each Tuesday in C6 from 3:20pm–4:20pm, all are welcome.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton club will be on afterschool on Tuesday in the Games Hall (3:15-4:15pm). All pupils from S1-S6 are welcome to attend.

S1 Football (Mr Pennel) 
S1 football will run on Tuesday afterschool (3:30-4:30pm). Training will be on the Astro so bring appropriate footwear if possible.

Girls’ Football (Miss Steedman)
Girls’ football training will run on Tuesday afterschool (3:30-4:15pm). Everyone interested in playing in S1 and S2 is welcome along.

Young STEM Leader (Miss Tennant)
Young STEM Leader sessions will take place every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15pm in A7.

Lessons are on today in the music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board in E11.

Guitar group is on today in E13. Please bring your lunch and be ready to play for 1:15pm.

Keyboard Group (Mrs Simpson)
Keyboard group is on today in E10 with Mr Duncan.

S1-S3 Maths Homework Support (Mr Jones)
Maths homework club with Mr Jones will run weekly every Wednesday lunchtime (1:15-1:40pm) for pupils in S1 to S3. Grab your lunch first and come along to C3 for homework support.

Homework Club (Mrs Patton)
Homework club will be running each Wednesday in C6 from 3:20-4:10pm for all year groups, all subjects.

Equalities Group (Ms Mahr)
Come along and meet the Equalities Group on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1pm (bring your lunch) in C12! Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you all!

Biology Study Support (Miss Irvine)
Biology study support will now be running every Wednesday after school from 3:30-4:30pm in A1. It is welcome to all S3-S6 Biology students. Hope to see some of you there!

Fashion & Textiles Study Support (Mrs Donaldson)
Wednesday 3:15-5pm in D15 for Higher & N5.

Little Shop of Horrors (Mr McPherson)
Rehearsals are on after school tonight. All cast members check the schedule and attend the rehearsals you are called for.
