Hot Meal: Leek and potato soup, Chicken tikka and rice, naan bread and vegetables or Beef/Vegetable burger, coleslaw and salad.

S1/S2 Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk (Mrs Bruce)
It is with regret that the Byre Theatre has decided to cancel the performance of Jack and the Beanstalk due to the rise of the Omnicron variant of Covid-19. All pupils who have paid will receive a full refund via IPayimpact. You don’t need to contact the Office as they are aware of who has paid but please be aware that refunds may take a few weeks. You should attend classes as normal on Wednesday. Apologies folks!

Lateral Flow Covid Test Kits (Mrs Hardie)
If any staff member or pupil requires lateral flow test kits to see them over the festive period, please come to collect them from the PSO base.

Christmas Lunch (Mrs Hardie)
Christmas lunch is on Thursday 16 December – Turkey and all the trimmings.

Mental Health Ambassadors (Miss Hay)
Mental Health Ambassadors please meet in B6 at lunch time today. Please bring your lunch so that you can be there for as close to 13:00 as you can. See you there!

S1-S3 Table Tennis Competition (Mr Greenhorn)
The second play-off matches will take place today at lunchtime. Can all participating players please make sure they arrive at the TT suite promptly (1:15pm) to play their scheduled match. Unfortunately, there will be no spectators allowed for this event! Results will be posted on social media by the end of the school day.

Final S1-S4 Young Leader Interviews (Mr Greenhorn)
A reminder that the final YL interviews take place today in the Library at 3:15-4:15pm. The interview will be completed by Mr Greenhorn, Mr Stewart & Owen T. An announcement on the appointments will likely be made before the end of the week.

Christmas Memorial Baubles (Gillian Wood, PSO)
If you would like to have a personalised bauble in memory of a loved one you can purchase one for £1 at the PSO. You can hang it on the school’s memorial tree at reception before taking it home to hang on your own tree. Any baubles left on the tree will be hung each year. It is a great honour for me to arrange this, you can admire the baubles and tree at reception. Any money raised will be used in our memorial garden.

Science Research Placements (Dr Murray)
Dr Murray has an opportunity for folk in S5 to spend some time during the summer working in REAL science/engineering labs. This would obviously be a great opportunity for anyone looking to study Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths subjects beyond school. See Dr Murray if you’re interested! String group is on today in E13. Please bring your lunch and be ready to play for 1:15pm.

Raspberry Pi School (Mr Davidson Kelly)
Raspberry Pi School is open every Tuesday lunchtime, room D7.

LGBT+ Group (LGBT+ Committee)
The legendary and amazing LGBT+ Group meets every Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) for anyone who wants to have a nice place to sit and enjoy their lunch, get to know other people, make badges, and (new for 2021!) make keyrings. EVERYONE and ANYONE is welcome, hope to see you there!

KHS Community Choir (Mrs Duckett)
This will run on Tuesdays after school in the Assembly Hall, 3:15-4:15pm.

Homework Club (Mrs Patton)
Homework club will be running each Tuesday in C17 from 3:20-4:20pm for all year groups, all subjects.

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)
Badminton club will be on afterschool on Tuesday in the Games Hall (3:15-4:15pm). All pupils from S1-S6 are welcome to attend.

S1 Football (Mr Pennel)
S1 football will run on Tuesday afterschool (3:30-4:30pm). Training will be on the Astro so bring appropriate footwear if possible.

Girls’ Football (Miss Steedman)
Girls’ football training will run on Tuesday afterschool (3:30-4:15pm). Everyone interested in playing in S1 and S2 is welcome along.

WEDNESDAY 15 DECEMBER

Lessons are on today in the music department. You can find your time on Teams or on the department timetable board in E11.

Guitar group is on today in E13. Please bring your lunch and be ready to play for 1:15pm.

Keyboard Group (Mrs Simpson)
Keyboard group is on today in E10 with Mr Duncan.

S1-S3 Maths Homework Support (Mr Jones)
Maths homework club with Mr Jones will run weekly every Wednesday lunchtime (1:15-1:40pm) for pupils in S1 to S3. Grab your lunch first and come along to C3 for homework support.

Craft Club (Mrs Patton)
Craft Club will run on a Wednesday lunchtime, 1:10-1:40pm in C19.

Equalities Group (Ms Mahr)
Come along and meet the Equalities Group on Wednesday lunchtimes at 1pm (bring your lunch) in C12! Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you all!

Biology Study Support (Miss Irvine)
Biology study support will now be running every Wednesday after school from 3:30-4:30pm in A1. It is welcome to all S3-S6 Biology students. Hope to see some of you there!

N5 & Higher Fashion & Textiles Study Support (Mrs Donaldson)
This will run every Wednesday, 3:15-5pm in D15.

Little Shop of Horrors (Mr McPherson)
Rehearsals are on after school tonight. All cast members check the schedule and attend the rehearsals you are called for. For anyone who put their name down for any other production area, please look out for blue bulletin messages from your team leaders in the coming weeks.
