School Show!!! (Mr McPherson)
We are putting on a full-length school musical in June 2022!!! The school show is a fantastic opportunity for all, S1 to S6! We have leading roles for confident performers, as well as smaller roles and chorus roles for those that would love to be part of the show but feel less confident. We also need a back-stage crew who will work behind the scenes on stage management, set, props, costume, sound, lighting, and hair and make-up. It doesn’t matter if you have never done a musical or don’t think you can sing.

ARE YOU INTERESTED???
Even if you are just a little bit curious, come along to our show information meeting in Mr McPherson’s drama room (Studio 1) on Thursday lunchtime OR Thursday after school at 15:20. I’ll talk you through the show and the different roles. For those who want leading roles I will explain the audition process, which will take place after the holidays. Please come and see Mr McPherson if you have any questions.

University Applications – September 2022 Entry (Miss Fotheringham)
Could those pupils in S5/6 who are applying to university for September 2022 entry please scan the QR code on the posters around the school. This will take you to a MS form to register for the in-school UCAS sign up session on Tuesday 5 October periods 4/5.

Music Video (Mrs Duckett)
Never Gonna Give You Up! Do you want to be involved in a ‘Rick Astley’ Music Video playing this classic tuuuune on keyboards?! Collect the keyboard music from Mrs Duckett this week. Recordings will take place before the October break and edited over the holidays.

Free Dr Bike Sessions (J Davidson)
Great news! Lang Toun Cycles part of Greener Kirkcaldy are coming back to our halls to provide some free to access Dr Bike fix events and basic maintenance classes for people living in our area! Book your cycle in for free checks and minor adjustments and repairs. At Dr Bike sessions, experienced mechanics check everything on your cycle from wheels, brakes, gears and tyre pressure to lights, racks, pedals, saddles and more. Any minor adjustments we can make, we do there and then. This may include free replacement of minor wear and tear components where possible. For more complicated repairs that we can’t fix on site, we will let you know exactly what needs to be done and give you a rough idea of what it should cost at a bike shop. A “Dr Bike health report” will be supplied to customers afterwards. This event will be conducted with social distancing measures and bike cleaning measures in place.
