WEDNESDAY 25 AUGUST

Hot Meal: Carrot and coriander soup, Roast chicken, potatoes and vegetables or Omelette and chips, peas or salad.

S2 Football (Mr Stewart)
There will be a meeting today at interval for all S2 boys who are interested in playing football for the school. This will be held in the Boys’ Gym.

Girls’ Football (Mr Stewart)
There will be a meeting today at interval for all girls in S1, S2 and S3 who are interested in playing football for the school. This will be held in the Girls’ Gym.

Rights Respecting Schools and Eco Team (Ms Young)
Hope everyone has had a fantastic summer. Our team has achieved some amazing things over the last few years and there are many amazing ideas already for what to do next. Would love to see you all back as well as any new members who are interested in helping protect and promote children’s rights in Scotland and across the world and helping to protect our environment. We are resuming our meetings and hopefully going to run on Wednesdays if that suits people? Out first meeting will be today at 1:10pm in B14, new members are also welcome. We will be making some plans for this term.

Senior Football (Mr English)
Any boy wishing to be considered for the senior team for this season must attend a meeting in the Girls’ Gym on Thursday at morning interval.

U15’s Football (Mr English)
Any S3 or Young S4 boys wishing to be considered for the senior team for this season must attend a meeting in the Girls’ Gym on Thursday at morning interval.

Pupils with October UCAS Deadlines (Miss Fotheringham)
Pupils who are applying to study at Oxford or Cambridge University, are applying to study Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine, or are applying to a music conservatoire should see their guidance teacher as soon as possible to let them know, and attend a meeting at 1:25pm on Thursday (meet at the guidance base).

Equalities Group – Winter Clothing Drive (Mrs McMahon)
If you have any spare adult small and medium winter coats, children’s winter coats, fleeces, hats, gloves and scarves that you no longer wear, please drop off at the S6 Base, by the end of August, to be donated to Afghan Refugee families in Fife, via Acorn Aid- Scotland. Thank you 🙂

If you have been awarded EMA, can you please bring your completed Learning Agreement in to school as soon as possible. Please remember to get it signed by your Guidance Teacher and then bring it to the Community Use office.

Saltire Awards (Miss Lipton)
Any seniors who are volunteering either in or out of school or interested in volunteering opportunities please join our Teams Group using code 4i49tc2 or see Miss Lipton in D9. Any volunteering hours should be submitted via the link in the Teams Group (ideally once a week) & will be recorded by Miss Lipton. When milestones are reached, nationally recognised certificates will be awarded which can be an excellent addition to your CV. Please make sure you don’t miss out!

S6 Primary Schools (J Davidson)
Anyone who has a study column and is interested in helping in a local primary school, should add their name to the list outside my office. I am hoping to get this organised over the next week or two. This will be Saltire Hours.

Are you interested in becoming a radio presenter and presenting on a local radio station? If this sounds like something you seem interested in, then head along to Dr Murray’s Room A4 in science on Thursday at lunch, to find out more information! This is open to all years, we hope to see some new faces!
