Welcome to King’s Road Primary School
Our Location
King’s Road Primary School is a non-denominational school which serves families living within the Rosyth area. The original King’s Road School was for secondary children and opened in 1918. Children attending our setting.
We provide pre-school education for children aged 2, 3 & 4 years within our nursery and education for our Primary 1 to Primary 7 children within our mainstream setting.
Most pupils entering Primary 1 in August each year have attended our nursery provision. We also welcome many children from partner providers and nurseries from within the local area.
Most of our children transition from Primary 7 to Inverkeithing High School, our associated high school. We work closely with other High Schools that children may transition to.
The primary school within our Inverkeithing High School ‘cluster’ are:
- Aberdour
- Camdean
- Dalgety Bay
- Donibristle
- Inverkeithing
- North Queensferry
- Park Road
Pupils from these schools also transfer to Inverkeithing Secondary School at the end of their Primary 7 year.
Partnership with parents is very important to us and we believe this helps our children make good progress as possible in their learning.
In normal times we would normally encourage and welcome the involvement of parents and carers in a variety of ways. Due to current restrictions this is currently on hold. We look forward to inviting you back into our setting as soon as we can.
The senior leadership team consists of a Headteachers and 3 Depute Headteachers. Together we lead our lead our large team of teaching and support staff who work hard to get the best for all the children in our care.
