Sharing Our Learning – Term 2 (Nov/Dec 2023) Events:
Primary 1a, P1b, P2a & P2b – Nativity! Tuesday 12th December 2PM and Wednesday 13th December 9:30AM

Primary 3, P3/4 & P4 = Celebrating St Andrew’s Day: Friday 1st December, 11:15am – 11:40 in the gym hall.
Primary 5a & P5b = Celebrating St Andrew’s Day: Friday 1st December, 9:30am in the gym hall.
Primary 6a & P6b = Celebrating St Andrew’s Day Friday 1st December 10 – 10:30am in the gym hall.
Primary 7a & P7b = Celebrating St Andrew’s Day Friday 1st December 11:45-12:15pm in the gym hall
*If you have a kilt or any tartan clothing, please do wear this with your uniform. We may invite attendees to join in some social dancing.*
Christmas Jumper Day at IPS:
Christmas Jumper Day will be on 7th December 2023.
Come wearing anything festive! This could be a jumper, socks, T-shirt. No Christmas jumper? Why not decorate your school uniform with tinsel or ask at the office, we have a small collection of donated Christmas jumpers available to give out for free.
We will be collecting donations will be for “Save the Children”.
December 2023 Christmas Parties for all classes!
These will be in the afternoons.
Children are welcome to wear party clothes all day on their party day. Children should wear shoes that will be comfortable for the duration of the school day.
If going home to change at lunchtime for their party, please return to school at 1:20pm.

- 18th December = P3 & P4 & P5
- 19th December = P1 & P2 (A special visitor will be coming to this party, thanks to donations from our PTA).
Children will receive a snack of crisps and small bag of sweets at their parties.
All dietary requirements will be catered for.
Children should bring their water bottle, as normal, to school.
End of Term 2:
Our last day of term will be Wednesday 20th December, school closes at 3pm on this day.

- Wednesday 14th February 2024 = Staff INSET training day.
- Thursday 15th and Friday 16th February 2024 = School mid term holiday, school closed to staff and pupils

Easter School Holidays are from Friday 29th March to Friday 12th April 2024

Shared Finishes at IPS
We’ve planned a series of monthly ‘Shared Finishes’ for families. These are informal chances to pop into your child’s class and share an activity together at the end of a school day.
The dates for these are:
- FRIDAY 8th September 2023 – 2:30pm- 3pm
- THURSDAY 5th October 2023 (Harvest celebrations 2-3pm)
- FRIDAY 3rd November 2023 2:30-3pm
- THURSDAY 7th December 2023 2:30pm- 3pm
- FRIDAY 12th January 2024 2:30pm- 3pm
- THURSDAY 8th February 2024 2:30pm- 3pm
- FRIDAY 8th March 2024 2:30pm- 3pm
- THURSDAY 2nd May 2024 2:30pm- 3pm
- FRIDAY 7th June 2024 2:30pm- 3pm
1 adult per child works well during our Shared Finishes as our classrooms get busy at these times.
We appreciate that parents and carers may be working at these times – we love to see other family members coming along to share our shared learning times too.

13/12/23: Christmas School Dinner: Do wear your Christmas Jumpers to help get into the festive spirit!
20/12/23: Last day of term, please be aware of menu changes listed on iPay. We’ll be offering packed lunch options on this date.
4th & 5th January 2024: First days back: Some selected items may not be available due to delivery limitations over the school holidays. Please check iPay nearer the time.
25/01/24: Burns Day Special School Dinner. Check iPay nearer the time for details.
14/03/24: International School Meal Day. A special menu will be shared nearer the time.

Proposal to relocate Inverkeithing High School
Thank you to those of you who took part in the consultation process with Fife Council and Education Scotland around the proposals for a replacement new build for Inverkeithing High School through public meetings and drop-in sessions and including our pupils who took part in the pupil consultation.
A consultation report has now been completed by Fife Council’s Education and Children’s Services Directorate for the proposal to relocate Inverkeithing High School from the existing site of Hillend Road, Inverkeithing to a new site, south of the A985 (Admiralty Road, Rosyth), the Fleet Grounds, Rosyth.
