Our Location and Catchment:
Inverkeithing Primary School is a non-denominational school which serves families living within Inverkeithing. It opened to pupils in October 2006. Built to replace the town’s old Roods Road school as part of the PPP initiative within Fife Council, the new school is located beside Inverkeithing Nursery and Inverkeithing High School forming a shared campus.
We are very proud of our school. It offers high quality facilities to pupils and their families. These are located in one building and are all at ground level which ensures maximum access for all who use the building. There is ample provision of disabled toilets, cloakrooms and toilets for pupils.

The associated secondary school is Inverkeithing High School.
Parents of P7 pupils are asked to enrol their child for High School and should follow this link for information and enrollment forms.
Pupils from our cluster of primary schools – Aberdour, Dalgety Bay, Donibristle, Park Road, North Queensferry, Kings Road and Camdean – also transfer to Inverkeithing High School at the end of their Primary 7 year.
Most pupils entering Primary 1 in August each year have attended Treetop Family Nurture Centre which is our nursery provision located on our shared campus.

If you are moving into our catchment area (or considering making a placing request) and your child is already of school age, please get in touch with our school office to request a paper copy of our enrollment forms and a visit to the school.
Choice of School
Parents have the right to make a placing request for the school they wish their child to attend. This applies whether the child is about to start school or whether he/she is already attending a primary, secondary or additional support needs school.Parents wishing to send their child to a school other than the catchment school will be able to choose an option to make a placing request using the same online enrollment form.
