Reading Schools

Reading Schools, developed by Scottish Book Trust, is an accreditation programme that supports schools in building a strong reading culture. With three levels of accreditation, it offers practical resources and guidance to help schools foster a love of reading for purpose and pleasure which is proven to boost literacy attainment across the curriculum.

Over a third of our schools in Fife are already accredited or actively working towards it.
If you’re focused on improving literacy outcomes and raising attainment, discover how the Reading Schools programme can support your school improvement priorities.
