Welcome to Denbeath Primary School and Nursery

Denbeath Primary School, situated in the small community of Denbeath within Buckhaven, first opened in 1908 as a senior secondary school. The school was refurbished in 1987 and many of its original features have been retained and refurbished.

The School has two playgrounds one for P1-3 pupils , the other for P4 –7 pupils. There is a large school playing field which forms part of the school grounds.

The school has its own separate P.E. hall. A large central hall is used as a dining area, where we have our own school kitchen. It is also used for groups of pupils working with a member of staff.

We aim to create an ethos where pupils, staff and parents are all involved in working together to support each individual in reaching his or her potential. We aim to create a positive atmosphere which is happy and welcoming to all working in, and visiting, the school. We work hard to establish and develop a supportive, encouraging and challenging teaching and learning ethos where children and parents work in partnership with the teachers as part of the education process.

Our Secondary School is Levenmouth Academy and transition experiences are carried out throughout primary 7.

Learning together for a positive future
