Successful communication strategies are an integral part of building Culross Primary School’s relationships with all stakeholders. We aim to have clear, effective and positive communication to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils and their parents/carers.
Seesaw
Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and children to record what’s happening in the classroom. It is a secure online platform which documents learning and allows parent/teacher communication. We use this across all classes and our nursery. You will need your child’s code to access this, contact your child’s teacher if this has been lost. Reassurance and support is here if you need it.
Seesaw lets your child view home learning tasks set for them by their class teacher. They can see any instructions provided to them, view the resources and submit the assignment back to their teacher. This may require them to attach a document or share a picture/video.
During periods of remote learning, class teachers provide a daily message explaining tasks for the day and set learning tasks through Seesaw. The teacher also provides personalised, individual feedback on work submitted. This can either be written feedback or videos/screen recordings, which will help to support your child’s understanding and move forward in their learning. Work shared with the class teacher can only be seen by the teacher, no other pupils can view their submission.
We regularly share examples of excellence and success on our Facebook page. This ranges from individual pupils, classes or nursery, sports teams and wider recognition. This allows us to share the positive things happening in our school with families and the wider community. You will find us on Facebook by searching ‘Culrosss Primary School’ or by clicking the Facebook icon.
Groupcall
We use this service to provide text or email updates to individuals, groups and our whole school. Please ensure your contact information is up to date and you make the office aware of any changes to your phone number or email address.
