Understanding and Analysing Computing Technology

This organiser encompasses the languages and tools used in computing science. Understanding the languages and tools is important before designing and building with them.

Starting at Early Level, learners are exploring how symbols are used to create instructions and the behaviour of a device following those instructions. Moving on First and Second Level, learners are learning about block based languages and developing their skills in using these to predict and run programs. For Third and Fourth Level, learners are building on their knowledge of languages and how these relate to computing systems.

For support with computing science terms used at the different levels. Have a look at the Glossary here.
